Rock Band scan from Game Informer - Image 1Strumming from the previous post which unveiled Rock Band's guitar controller, two other peripherals have now also been thrown into the PS3/360 center stage. From 360post, this scan from a Game Informer magazine shows the drum set and microphone for Harmonix's game.

Now, about the microphone peripheral, I've squinted at the scan for quite a while to read the text, and it seems that, while Harmonix will release their own branded mic, other third-party USB mics could be supported. This however won't encompass the Xbox 360 wireless headset.

As for the drum set, it seems that (unless my straining eyes deceive me) the leg stands are collapsible, which makes the whole set easy to store. The actual drums though are fixed in place and don't seem to be movable to whatever position/angle you're most comfortable with.

Do note that both the drum set and and microphone seen in the scan are concept prototypes but is reported as "unlikely to change drastically before release."

agreed, if your in a rock band, your gonna wanna hit drums hard. and being a drummer myself, im disappointed that its not showing double kick. it looks like it would fall apart if i played it-not very "Rock-bandish"

yea in the mag all those look like high quality things. The guitar has high and low frets. I'd expect all the other devices to carry similar quality.

Go into a gamestop and look in the mag stuff looks nicer on the page.

 » Dummania

Actually Drummania uses 5 pads and a footpedal theres no way that this drum set would be compatible with Drummania.

» PlayStation 3 Vs. Xbox 360’s Best Game (Halo 3)

Never post any news articles regarding to Halo 3 from now on, period. I f+cking care nothing about garbage like Crapalo 3 or Halo 2.5 or Halo 2 Episode 1. This is a flat fact that there’re 200 games or so which are better than Halo 3 in terms of graphics, sound, music, gameplay, multiplay, single-play, and replay value (longevity).

* World of StarCraft (WoS – MMORPG genre): go to google.com -> click ‘images’ button to do image searching -> type ‘World of StarCraft’ -> you can see 2 exclusive pictures. Back in early 2006, Blizzard gave an exclusive interview about WoS and these 2 in-game pictures of WoS to GameSpot. About 1 week later, Blizzard requested GameSpot to remove all information on WoS because WoS was in very early and immature stages.

* Call of Duty 5: Infinity Ward makes CoD 2 and 4; Infinity Ward has been making CoD 4 since Dec. 2005. Treyarch makes CoD 3 and 5; Treyarch has been making CoD 5 since Jan. 2007. CoD 2, 3, 4, and 5 games’ publisher is Activision (Activision decided which version will be made by which developer).

* Jak & Dexter Next-Gen: Naughty Dog is currently making Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Jak & Dexter at the same time.

Gears of War 2, MotorStorm 2, Doom Wars, Ninja Gaiden 2, Black 2, Wolfenstein Next-Gen, Dead Rising 2, Dead or Alive 5, Resistance 2, Beowulf Next-Gen, Knight of the Old Republic 3 (all of the above games’ existence is widely and publicly known; however, never officially confirmed)

See, this? There’s almost countless number of games which are better than Halo 3 in all respects. Why should I waste even 5 minutes to play Crapalo 3 when there’re 200 better games? It just makes no-sense at all. Kids, use your common sense because X360 fanboys can never think and rationalize with clear and unbiased mind.

If you weren't so f*cking retarded, maybe you would realize you listed Halo 3 and Halo 2 as a game supposed to be better than Halo 3. Even Duke Nukem Forever is on there! Hello?

Dumbass

For the price youre gonna pay for the video game set all together, the drums will be good quality. I mean unless your hitting them with a sledge hammer, you'll be in good shape to play hard. I have faith Harmonix will blow us all away with this game.
