Ryan Payton - Image 1When we previously heard of Ryan Payton, he had left Kojima Productions (due to personal/family matters) and went back to the US to look for another job closer to home. After formally leaving the MGS4 team late last month, Ryan Payton's next project might be none other than Peter Jackson's upcoming (and always thought to be vaporware) Halo title.

If Kotaku's sources are to be believed, Microsoft has now hired Ryan Payton to fill in the role of being the creative director for Jackson's Halo game - this after Gearbox's former director of technology, Corrinne Yu, was also hired by Microsoft Game Studios for expanding the Halo franchise beyond its third installment.

It may very well be that Yu and Payton will be working together on the same Halo project. Of course, that's if Payton's really confirmed in the Halo team to begin with. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
