PlayStation Beta - Image 1

Quite a number of gamers are waiting for PlayStation Home to leave the closed Beta stage and move on to either open Beta or a full version launch. Well, rumors have been going around that the closed beta will be ending May 15 this year.

This little rumor was based on one PS Home Beta tester's account which indicated that the Beta ends on the aforementioned date. While it might not be advisable to put too much stock in this rumor, it might be worth keeping tabs it because there is still a chance it might prove true.

Remember to keep checking back here for more updates on this.

 » The problem with Home...

mainly surrounds pirating content. I know the hipsters of the world think all things are theirs, but unfortunately, Sony could get its pants sued off. And, to top this off...the Japanese tend to go outside to be social...so they don't take to this stuff.

Part of the reason the sony president steped down. was because of playstation home, still No matter how you look at things.

his departue didnt speed things up any. As I understand ps home was one of the projects he was directly over.

I look forward to home myself, We really need this as a means to compeat with xbl..

There's a rumor that the Home release is taking WAY too long and that impatient PS3 owners are over-hyping every LITTLE rumor.

There's also a rumor that Home should have been released about 5 months ago. Way to go Sony!

The final version better be released to the public long before May.

The beta ends may 15th, and that day is a Thursday... when does the PSN get updated? Thats right THURSDAY. This thing is delayed i am also a beta tester and it says it right when you hit the beta tab.

I have my worries about Home, mainly because i want it to be good and not a pointless add on, fingers crossed.

 » How is this news?

I don't really see why this is even news.

My beta page (I'm a beta tester) has said that for months. Sony arbitrarily picked a date. They'll just extend the test period if they feel more testing needs to take place.
