Rumor - Socom: Confrontation release date - Image 1We might not have new rights now, but this particular rumor might be able to make your day. We got information that Slant Six's SOCOM: Confrontation has been posted on Amazon's site.

What we got there was really something to smile about. We found that the Special Ops game is set to be released on June 15, 2008. Furthermore, it has a price tag of US$ 59.99.

Ain't this great? Well, don't go celebrating just yet since this is just a rumor. Nothing official has been sent out regarding the authentic release date of the game. Until then, keep your eyes glued to this space for more updates.

Thanks DaveDaDon for the tip!

 » I highly doubt

this will happen. I was not really interested in any of the previous SOCOM games. I know of people that liked them though. I will probably try this one out just because of how fun it looks.

I seriousley doubt Sony would let this happen. Three days after MGS4? This game will go to *****s if they do that. I remember hearing one of Sony's executives saying in an interview that they would space the releases of their great exclusives out so that they do not overlap each other. Three days sounds like it would overlap pretty hard. SOCOM is an extremely popular series, this would destroy their first instalment in this generation.

» really, how do you feel abut that?

I don't think it would matter when Confrontation comes out. Us die hard fans of the game series don't care. WE WILL BUY IT no matter what or when. I have money put aside for it for over a month now. I will have that and gta4 and mgs4, all in a row. Hurray for SONY & PS3!!W00T w0oT!!
