 In case you were primping yourself up for a trip to your nearest EB
Games or GameStop store to buy yourself a cheap PS3, you should know
that the rumored price cut has proven false. There is no price cut today, as previous rumors suggested. Our source kaizer_911 (thanks man) also informs us that the rumor was BS in the first place. No price cut has been communicated to EB Games or GameStop management as far as he's concerned (and he should know, he's been spot on with these things before). Not that it means Sony won't introduce a price cut, it's just that it it won't happen in the immediate future as they haven't received any info from Sony yet. Sorry to have burst any bubbles, but there's still GDC, which starts tomorrow. Sony might have a couple of surprises in store for us. |

If the little *****s wanted a PS3 so badly then they would have stayed in school instead of dropping out and had gotten a real job. The only models that's getting errors and not reading discs are the launch older models. Which Sony maintenance have stated those are prone to fail due to it being an older model. They replace the machine, depending on the issue, with a brand new "same" model of yours. Just recently my PS3 stopped reading discs due to the lens, and I rang sony up and they replaced it with a brand new current version lens. :P

why doesn't sony just release a system without blueray or without disks period fill it full of memory redesign it now their is no disk thing make it smaller and put ever single ps3 title on playstation network i would buy it cause my ps3's that ive own have a hard time reading disks sometimes anyway i like the cell i like psn but blueray isnt needed disks arent needed on ps3

I think Sony could be waiting for those 360 fans to try KZ2, and thus want to keep the price up for a while longer as more AAA titles come out. However, I think Sony's marketing guys are doing things completely wrong. As a PS3 user, I know of loads of things the PS3 can do that Sony isn't advertising enough - Youtube on your tv, Linux capability (use as a computer, can even do 3D CAD renderings on it for work), use as a hub to store all your photos and videos and music! and do all of this in high definition, as well as play blu-ray movies. If I had no idea what a PS3 was, and walked into a store, I would walk out thinking it could merely play games and blu ray movies, but theres so much more it can do! In addition, it can do loads of stuff with psp and play tv - with your psp and wifi, you can look at any media file on your ps3 hard drive, play any psp or psone game on the hard drive, and also watch play tv on your psp! I only know this because I seek the info, but most comsumers will be oblivious to all this!

There is an NDA until Monday 30. But, YES there is a price cut along with the Bundle, which you all know will be 399 for a 80GB ps3 with Motorstom and Resistance.
Distributors notifying retailers about detailed price have been warned of the consecuences of doing so.
Dont abandon hope :) Its just a week more.
