Great, ... anyone care?(... besides the junkie that will probably view this post soon.)
thats why i collect games and buy them not to throw them away every time the "particular" brand throws a new console. i hate the industry when they dont support old software, software that you spend so much hard EARNED money. i have a big collection of ps1 & ps2 games that i hard collected and cost me so MUCH MONEY and i dont want to throw it away because this sony M'FERS have so minimal problems or a so lazy to program small fixes on the new machine.
so like a consumer I DO CARE about Backwards compatibility.
I PAY money for the machine so i do NEED for what i pay off.
PD: i dont care about the haters around and the xbots or kiddy hoes who comes in here to say ***** about that BC is dont need it.
this is when we have to seperate CASUALS vs HARD CORE GAMERS.
sure most peope expect game systems to emulate at least the last system. but you can only be backwards compatible to a certain extent. adding previous system's chips will just boost the price up. And software emulation can only go so far. Game companies are trying to work on future technology more than trying to emulate older technology.
... companies could care less about backwards compatibility. The only reason it's around is as a selling point. Look at nintendo and how many ways they rape customers out of their money (Zelda NES ported for GBA! For only $20? Wow!)
On the other hand, exactly how much more would it cost to put in the hardware to run PS1-generation (12 yrs old) or PS2-generation (7 yrs old) titles? Seriously.
this is cool...but does it make any graphical changes at all, lol...im just curious!
