We came across the PDF manual for Sony Computer Entertainment's LittleBigPlanet, and we've downloaded it so we can share it with you.

The PDF file is 1.6 MB in size and has 29 pages of information covering all aspects of the game, including sackboy creation and level creation and management.

Feel free to download it in anticipation of the game's release, and remember: LittleBigPlanet comes out next month!

 » simplier then i thought

i mean the last article said little big planet would be one long tutorial but the manual makes it seem like anyone can learn how to make this stuff

I think the difficulty with getting into the level building will be when it comes time to tinker with the different parts you can use... so they may have a level each per new element being introduced.

Of course, this is all just speculation on my part. Let's hope the gameplay is good. :)

 » WTF!?!?!?!?!

I think the game out of the box will be SUPER FUN.

But I think a LOT of people will be disappointed with the build feature. First of all, look at EVERY SINGLE sample they have ever shown you. How does it start out?

"So, we're starting with the CAR we already built...."

"So, we started building this level real quick...."

"So, here's this level we already made...STAMP STAMP STAMP, DONE!"

This is as lame as Apple showing us how easy it is to make an iPhone app.

"So, I'm going to drop in this section of 1,500 lines of code..... just click click, BOOM, done!"

They have never actually shown us the creation of a level from start to finish.

Qore wants us to believe that a high quality level will take only "hours" to create. BS!

This is going to be VERY involved. Which isn't a bad thing. I just doubt "anyone" will be churning out quality levels.

 » Well

Isn't that half the fun?

I have actually played this game. Trust me, it's intuitive. Making your own level will take a lot of time, but it is easier than you seem to think.

Easy for people who are inclined. If you've already played it then odds are you are smarter then the average bear. Never under estimate the "knowingness" of the average person :)

» just looked at the manual

it looks menu driven, most buttons are for moving the sack person, or for changing tabs and accepting/cancelling/deleting objects. the materials you can use look really interesting, each has realistic properties. this game is good if you're a creative person like me, or a science freak like me. since you can make experiments and test them using simulated physics on a very basic level, or make crazy stuff. or if you want to make a game, make your own levels. im sure people will make zelda, mario sonic, god of war, metal gear solid themed levels, its gonna be awesome. I think it will take a long time to get used to tho.
