SCEA's Chris Hinojosa-Miranda: Gran Turismo 5 is still about a year away - Image 1Based on what we're been reading, a lot of gamers are holding off on buying Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue to save up cash for the full game.

Now, if you happen to be among these dudes, be prepared for a possibly long wait, at least according to SCEA's Chris Hinojosa-Miranda.

The Sony associate producer dropped by the official PlayStation blog recently to explain that Gran Turismo 5 wasn't expected to hit North America for about another year. In line with that clarification, Hinojosa-Miranda did offer some advice for the guys who haven't gotten Prologue either:

You should just decide now to buy it, enjoy it, go online and race against anyone and everyone, rank number one worldwide, get the girl (or guy) and become the most popular kid in town. The end.

As you guys may recall, the UK's GAME retailer had also hinted last month that the GT5 wouldn't be launching until 2009. That's all the details we've got at the moment - drop by again in case we receive any more updates.
