Crypto, main protagonist of the Destroy All Humans! series - Image 1With Sandblast Games taking the helm as the new developer for the Destroy All Humans! series, Creative Director Jon Knoles gave everyone a sneak peek at some of the major details of their next invasion with Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360).

In an interview conducted by IGN, Knoles explained how much the new iteration differs with its predecessors while retaining all the fun stuff which makes Destroy All Humans! such a fun series.

Fans of the series can still expect all the human-disintegrating, anal-probing, and mass destructive elements to be present in Path of the Furon. One of the biggest things the new title has to offer is the open sandbox and "fully destructible environments" that Crypto can get to play in.

It was also mentioned that the title will also contain a co-op mode as well as an extensive achievements list for the Xbox 360 version, without any of the boring "Beat Mission X" achievements for players to complete.

When asked what the next game's biggest strength was, this was what Knoles had to say:

The greatest strength of the Destroy All Humans! series is its unique brand of irreverent and satirical humor, from the invading alien point of view. Gamers can expect that humor to be alive and well in PotF. We've brought back the original voice actors, and we've given them reams of witty repartee to recite. There are a lot of interactive conversations, a lot of human minds to read, and there is now much more back and forth banter in game between the two main characters, Crypto and Pox, during the action. In terms of how much, there is something in the neighborhood of 15,000 lines of spoken dialogue in the game.

The irrepressible kind of humor Crypto and Pox have towards the lowly human race has always been one of the game's more amusing strong points. Coupled with all the alien weapons of mass destruction, this makes Path of the Furon something to watch out for when it comes out in the next couple of months.
