First off, we thank QJ reader ShinFuYux for the tip! Now onto business: back in January, we talked about the the Sony-Namco Bandai venture dubbed as Cellius Inc. The joint-venture will be focusing on developing games which can maximize the capabilities of the PS3's Cell Processor. This new company is headed by Ken Kutaragi. Months have passed and we haven't heard about any of the games that they are working on...until now.

We have here some scans of new PS3 games that have been announced from the Cellius project - Brave Arms, Chain Limit, and Second Season 01. Since we don't understand Japanese, here's what we know about them, so far.

  • Brave Arms - What appears to be a third-person action game in the vein of Ninja Gaiden. One man takes on an oppressive regime in revolt.
  • Chain Limit - A James Bond/Jack Bauer style, spy adventure type of game.
  • Second Season 01 - A first person, drama/sci-fi action title.

Apparently, these three games represent different narrative genres - one is action, the other survival, the other is investigative. All of them are QTE (Quick Time Event) fests wherein all its gameplay will involve selecting the available targets on screen and pressing buttons to do different actions to change how the scenes play out.

Also, all three are cinematic games which will involve bravery, heroes, danger among many others. With the news that Devil May Cry 4 is going multi-platform, details about these three exclusive PS3 titles is certainly good news. We'll certainly update you as more info comes our way.

beautiful! and very SONY cinematic type of game. There is hard prove about those games being PS3 exclusives from CELLIUS? or in is only a the most probable guess?

 » Cellius is..

Cellius is a joint venture between Sony and Namco. Any game that Cellius makes will be exclusive to the PS3, since it is a first party developer.

gotta love fanboys.

a insecure sony zealot results to swearing as he becomes insecure and another zealot swears the lower-end version of the ps3 is worth these 3 games and a buggy version of gundam.

who even say " huh " was a 360 fanboy.

   Re: antaeus - 2007-03-24
 » lol

if I wanted to get DMC I would get it on its original console that was developed for and not the console that is being ported to.

» NEITHER PS3 OR CELLIUS IS MENTIONED IN THESE ARTICLES

Nice jouralistic integrity.

Next time you steal scans off NeoGAF be sure to get them translated before you insert your made up garbage.

BTW, Namco/bandai says they have 6 unannounced X360 titles on top of Ace Combat 5. Do the math smarties.

NeoGAF is a joke

And you cannot count, that equal 4 not 6

» Nowhere does it say anything about Cellius

Nowhere in the articles does it say anything about Cellius. Or the PS3 for that matter. Infact it list the developers on all games as Project Aces and Published by Bandai/Namco. For all we know this could be a hoax from someone with alot of talent too and much time on their hands.

These could also just be concepts thought up inside of Namco for game pitches that aren't even in development yet. Nothing is offical yet.

» Yeah, there's NO mention of ANY platform ANYWHERE

It doesn't even have a target platform

for all we know, those "SCREENS" are just target renders.

The whole scan seems like a studio pitch/proposition to upper management.

LOOKS WAY TOO EARLY

it is not truth

 » well

I guess since x360 owners seem to be hoping to God that these games are not going to be PS3 exclusives, the general concensus is that these games are pretty nice looking. But yea, it does not say that it's Cellius, but who knows, maybe it is, and we're just missing out on some key piece of info.
