how come only the 360 is measured in mm, and everything else is measured in inches? Also, lets not forget 360 has a huge power supply to be taken into account, plus the HD-DVD drive for the people that want that!

I think no one cares about the size, people care about the graphics and just other ***** like that bro, not the size. And ps3 would possibly be bigger because of what it has inside. But it really just doesnt matter.

Yeah, people made cardboard models. We all saw those.
But this is a good graphical representation that beats the models because it shows in stark black and white (er, in stark pastels) the differences in size.
I was like "Woah! I never really realized just how small the Wii is!" I mean, I knew it was small, but when you look at it like that, as a pretty little box next to a other pretty bigger boxes, you gotta wonder what the differences in technology, miniaturization, heat, and DURABILITY are.
Graphics may matter more than size, but size determines the configuration of the hardware, and when or if that hardware goes bust, there won't be no more graphics! LOL

hello it does make a difference to buy a bigger better machine with all features. who cares about the wii remote, i have direct tv remote which is wirless. wii is old idea. no dvd to take on vactions or friends , we need more content. wii is 1.5 for being small. "imagine" if ps3 cost 250.00 and wii 250.00, would you get if it was 250.00. don't take t personal. anyone young 14 in this blog should get out. there was not enough online for gamecube probably only 2 games or none

Lol @ the guy who thinks the HD-DVD drive would make a difference in the 360's size if it was internal. Have you seen a bare HD-DVD drive? They're the same size as any Blu-Ray or DVD drive...

Wasn't one of the complaints made by Japanese against the original xbox the large size of it, and that it had a convex top? The PS3 is larger than the original xbox (to my knowledge), and has a decidedly convex top - score one for fanboy hypocrisy.

Sony fan boys convinced that the amount of games already out would win it and Microsoft fan boys convinced that The power of the machine would win it. Nintendo Will always be there with who ever makes it because they stick to there roots and the fans know this and can expect the best games even though the might not have the most power. Excellent point. Just goes to show you how far a person will go to defend the things they love. In the end, all the consoles will attain a certain level of success. Each console appears to be appealing to certain demographics. People tend to defend the things they love, even if its by using political tactics to ensue a "level-headed" argument. The fact remains that size does not matter to a fan-boy. What some one claims to be big and ugly can instantly become advanced and groundbreaking. If the PS3 managed to be half the size of the Wii, than sony fans would cling to that. Its not that they're holding on to false hope, its that they're absolutely certain that Sony will prevail and that whatever they dish out must be of good intentions. I really do not blame them, for all we know the PS3 can rise above and beyond all these negative expectations.
I for one try to stay away from all this bullcrap bickering over which one is better and who is going to win. I'm not buying a console so I can be on the winning side. I'm buying one so I can play the games that I want to play. Hell if I care about graphics or motion sensors. I care about good games that strike my interest. The sad thing is that all these fanboys will go to the lengths of never buying from the competetion in order to have their side be more successful. Its a shame though, your all buying in to exactly what the companies want - Blindly folling consumers. Enjoy your consoles.

As long as the power supple is inside the PS3, it's all good. At least with the PS3, there's no chance of burning down my house while playing a game. On the downside, I can't use my PS3 to cook bacon and eggs like how I use the 360 to.

How many 360's have 'exploded'? Ok, now, how many laptops with Sony batteries have quite literally exploded?
I'm (seriously) not suggesting the PS3 will suffer from severe battery defects, but such statistics/track records should at least be noted before making '360's double as grills' type remarks.

One of the biggest reasons the Japanese said they hated the Xbox was becasue it was too big. The whole argument went like that.
