The Sony PlayStation 3 and the PSP have the highest percentage of brand awareness amongst consumers according to Forrester's latest report on the video games industry. The mail based survey (of 10,000 households in North America) found that 72% of North American consumers have heard of the PlayStation 3 and a full 6% plan to buy one, despite the fact that Sony has yet to announce a final feature set, a release date or the console's price.

The Sony PSP came second on the chart of consumer gaming device awareness - 65% of consumers have heard of the PSP and around 3% plan to buy one. It's clear that Microsoft's Xbox 360 console faces an uphill battle if it wants to wrestle the mindset of North American consumers away from Sony.

I never heard of the Game Boy Evolution. lol The most known should be the PS3 and the Xbox 360(mostly xbox 360 because of the ads and events.). Everyone knows about xbox 360. It does look like its Sony biased.

THIs complete bullsh*t just some fanboy work i guess

 » maybe...

Maybe 10,000 households have heard of the Game Boy Evolution... because it has the name "Game Boy" in it. Which then comes down to "How many people have heard of Sony, and Playstation, and Nintendo, and Game Boy..." etc...

You guys don't have to assume that it's some sort of marketing campaign... when most people recognize MOST of the words of something, they assume they know what it is.

If you were to go up to someone on a street or something, and asked whether they heard of the Phantom, 0 out of 10 would know about it.
