I'm happy to here that we here in OZ are making a little noise and showing our contribution... although we don't have the numbers comparable to US, Japan, and anywhere else cause of our population we'r still a dedicated bunch who likes our games...
got my console from the launch... got three games that night... bought another one last week thursday... and going there again today after work to get another one... good thing shops close late on thursdays...
one more thing.. 100,000 in seven months?????!!!! damn!!!
Now read the other news 82 % drop in PS3 sales, exactly what happened in the USA and Japan after the launch hype week died away the console followed it.
And the news headlines on the 11th day.
Sales drop by 99.9% on day 11 as only 2,000 units were sold on that day.

I think the Wii had an advantage being released in November/December though, due to Christmas, so its not a bad effort for the PS3.
Can they sell 100,000 in 7 months? Let me know if that happens, lol.
There's going to be a sharp decline until sony can rush those few remaining exclusive games to market.
but u know what in the long run it won't really matter cause even if sony manages to eclipse that mark made by XBox 360 people will just come up with more reasons and excuses.. xbox will say anything to diss sony... they will never accept any success by sony even minor ones...
the wii does not compete with the PS3. it competes with the PS2!! Sony lapped the competition muliple times with the PS2, which is still selling by the way. 360 and Wii have to catch the PS2 before they boast about anything. They're not even HD consoles! And no, the elite is a bastardized HD console so it doesn't count.
When MGS4 drops, xbots and wii-dweebs will be watchin PS3 fans have real fun from the sidelines.
Is that why the PS3 has now dropped by 82% in its sales because its so good, LMAO its a flop and nothing is going to save it, its the Dreamcast of the Next Gen consoles.
You like to only use what fits your needs in an article huh? I think you need to do some more reading and have a bit more comprehension of what is exactly meant. But I will give you a brief explanation, ALL CONSOLES DROP OFF IN SALES AFTER THEIR OPENING!.....
wii is cheap garbage of course it sold more for now
