Final Fantasy XIII - Image 1

Bad news for fans clamoring for an early taste of Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy video game: According to Famitsu, Square Enix' Shinji Hashimoto confirmed that there will be no playable Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy Versus XIII demo until next year. That means we'll have to wait for at least half a year more before we can get our hands on such a juicy demo.

But to sate our hunger for more Final Fantasy XIII - and to let us know about the game's progress - they are planning to show all new video footage of Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII in the near future, and that may very well include the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS) this September. It's sad, we know, but it's better to give Square Enix its needed time so that we'll have epic games in our hands once they get released.

As long as there is a demo on PSN eventually, I'm happy.
