Tecmo's Team Ninja is one crew that has weathered a few storms over the years. There was the resignation of Tomonobu Itagaki, the subsequent lawsuit, and the Koei Tecmo merger among others. The team may have lost one of its aces, but it's good to see that they are still walking the path of the ninja. Now under the leadership of Yosuke Hayashi, the team is now going to work on new Ninja Gaiden titles.

Despite having Itagaki's ghost affecting outlook for the game, Hayashi believes that only the leadership has changed with the team, and that future releases would still hold true to the "Team Ninja DNA." One of the future releases would be Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, carrying huge upgrades from its predecessors and features that we've come to expect from the current generation, such as multiplayer co-op and online features.

Speaking of this console generation, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 currently stands as a PS3-exclusive. "I am sorry for our Xbox 360 fans, but this one will be PS3 only," Hayashi said. "As much as I would like to take that as sort of a compliment, saying that we should share the wealth with other consoles, I think it's more or less too old by the time Sigma 2 hits the market and enough people have played it already on the Xbox 360."

 » huh?

It has online co-op? Yep, I'm buying it. I played it on my bro's 360 once, it was a nice game, but I had already played games like it before. But uh...I'm a sucker for co-op so...

I'm so glad that douche Itagaki is gone. Ugh I hated him and his arrogance. Team Ninja has proved that they're just as capable without him and that he took WAY too much credit for their hard work.

Itagaki did get way too much credit for not all that much. His loyal fans were really fans of bouncing breasts. Speaking of breasts, I wonder when they'll get to working on Dead or Alive 5. Underneath the boobage, 4 was a very solid deep game and thanks to SFIV and SCIV my love for fighting games has been reignited. I needs more.
