Team ICE releases PS3 Pack v1.2 - Image 1

Team ICE, perhaps short for International Couch Entertainment (as German member StreetskaterFU labels it), publicly released version 1.2 of the Ice Pack just a day ago. The collection of known, tried and tested exploits carries even the latest TIFF exploit previously reported, as well as a slew of other hacks and exploits leveled at Sony's PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Network:
  • RADTools
  • Home Beta Exploit EU
  • HDD Format SELF
  • Customize your XMB Version 2.0
  • Motorstorm Exploit US
  • Resistance Exploit US
  • Motorstorm Exploit Fix
  • Resistance Exploit Fix
Though they will eventually be circumvented by Sony in the near future, the exploits included in this pack were all reported to work prior to release. None of them are fully fledged homebrew applications, however, and are only aimed at those aspiring to create "clean," unsigned code (after crashing their Sony PS3s into execution limbo, of course) to kick start PlayStation 3 homebrew development officially.

You are free to try each of the included hacks, but please exercise the liberty of reading the bundled reminders first. Also take note that running the Home Beta Exploit may get you banned on the PlayStation Network.

It's not automatic, however, and some have reported to have gotten away with running unauthenticated downloaded content while testing it. Again, be wary of the consequences before you head download this latest version and use it.

Thanks to PSX Nickos for the tip!

I'm sure FreePiss will be here any minute to start complaining about this release saying it sucks even though he has yet to release anything better.

» no his name is Freeplay

Freeplay is a good person and just wanna make correction of errors that nobody does not eve know.

well he did release a better radio station portal for the psp.

Anyways Team ICE hacks are fake. hell I can create a freeze/crashed file for the ps3 and psp as easy as wiping my ass. (yawns)

This PS3 Pack v1.2 Sucks!

I think the FreePiss was a play on words to take the piss out of the guy, I don't know who he is, but either way there is no need to diss groups that are all working towards the same thing, if any of these things come to anything I'm sure evn you will be grateful towards teamICE if it doesn't you should just look at the fact at least they where good enough to release them so other people could try and at least they tried themselves. You can't call them liers or fakes just because certain methods don't work.

FreePlay is one of the best hackers on the PSP scene. He is much more capable of making a PS3 hack than this guys.

This is just a bunch of re-released crap that this team just slapped their names on. None of this stuff does absolutely anything. Wait around for the real dev work to come by from a team actually doing something to help the community instead of conning people into making a name for themselves when they have nothing to back it up.

 » WTF!?!?!?!?!

This is a bunch of garbage.

1. Not all of this work is theirs.
2. Most of it is 100% worhtless and doesn't work.
3. We've already seen all this so this is nothing more then an attempt at news.
4. Some of these are FAKE tools that never worked in the first place and are based on DEVKIT files, not their own creation.

Well at least their trying.I don't see u doing anything.

@Kingofdaberbz

So you call releasing a file that does absolutly nothing...trying? Sorry bud, but you have to actualy DO SOMETHING to be considered DOING SOMETHING.

Ok, here's a file, go download it and put it on your PS3 and try to open it an image. POOF, it wont work. There's your "hack".

I just did as much work as them. Now I'm a PS3 hacker!
