The Godfather II - Image 1The Godfather may be the boss of the mafia, but he still answers to a bigger boss - his publisher! Despite his swagger and thug-smoking powers, Electronic Arts remains his real Corleone, and according to EA Games' president Frank Gibeau, "We're not going to do another one." After getting rescued by EA Games after his old family, Brash Entertainment, went out of business, the Godfather may need to go look for another family for publishing.

The Godfather II Press Kit - Image 1When The Godfather II (PS3, Xbox 360) came out on stores earlier this week, Electronic Arts handed out a pretty cool press kit containing a cigar, a pack of matches, a pair of dice, and some wire, and the object of curiosity and controversy - real brass knuckles. EA must've gone, "WTF were we thinking?" over the last few days, and now they want their shiny weapons back.

Home - Image 1Tomorrow already? Yes! EA is indeed launching their very own PlayStation Home space for The Godfather II, and it's happening tomorrow! So their teaser posters were really for a Home space after all, and they've got an ace up their sleeve: it's a Texas Hold 'Em table! Capcom's also got something special for people who might find themselves in the RE5 space. Check out the full article for more info.

The Godfather II - Image 1Electronic Arts' The Godfather II has finally shipped to North American retailers for the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles, as well as the PC platform. Interestingly enough, on the eve of the said launch, EA sent out swag kits for the gaming press -- which contained real brass knuckles.

Godfather IIGrab those baseball clubs. The Godfather is coming Home. Or so it seems. At the PlayStation EU forums, someone's taken the liberty of snapping some shots of posters that have appeared above his Home plaza announcing that Godfather II is coming soon to Home. Could it be in the form of threads, maybe a virtual launch event, or hell, why not a Home space? Sony, after all, is planning to release some three spaces per month, and this looks like it's got a shot at it.

EA holiday quarter disappoints, Godfather II delayed - Image 1Guns, pasta, and cats. That's the life of the Godfather. Unfortunately, you won't be able to take over the title of Don just yet. EA's mobster game The Godfather II has been delayed for a few months.

The official reason given was to hype up the game a bit more, but financial troubles may also be a reason, with EA whacking off more numbers from their headcount. Details after the link.

Godfather Wii -- no more - Image 1The Godfather II (PS3, 360) needs the power of true next gen (or rather, this gen) machines, so the devs said. So by virtue of the game not having a Wii version, does that mean that Electronic Arts does not consider Nintendo's hot-selling console to be a real "next-gen"?
