In addition to announcing the 2009 Xbox 360 release of Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Square Enix had some more surprises for the Xbox 360 RPG fans in attendance at the Microsoft RPG Premiere event. They announced the worldwide release of Square Enix RPG The Last Remnant for the Xbox 360.

In their announcement, it was made known that The Last Remnant would be making its worldwide debut this winter. That's right folks: a global release is set for winter! They were mum about information on the game, but promised additional details at the upcoming E3 event next month.

In the meantime, we did find this new trailer for the game, which you can enjoy below. Keep checking back here for more updates to The Last Remnant, especially as we draw ever closer to E3.

I thought we would see it sooner. Every since the game trailer releases for this game I have been hyped up to play it. I can't wait for this and Final Fantasy 13!

 » is this a joke?

They didn't even said the ps3 would get it later, they said the ps3 would get it at the same time!

And for star ocean 4, they said the ps3 will have at the same time too, man those news are weird.

Still, it's really lame a queenix to insult their own fans, popping games on the lame 360, that is becoming the home of the JRPGs thanks to sqeenix (shame on them)... Now the only exclusives are the final fantasy games, wichwill be the best, yes, but I don't want 2 superb games, I want 2 superb games AND 8 great or good games! Now I'll need to buy another console just for some games! That suc**!! Thanks squeenix.

ps: I'm frustrated.

You forget Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia are also coming to the 360 first this year. Then you add the western RPGs and 360 is the home of RPGs, lol. Crazy.

Last rem is coming on the 360 first, so is star Ocean. Star Ocean is not even confirmed for the 360 "We may release it, we may not"

Sorry to disappoint you.

Or does anyone else think that FF13 may not remain an exclusive?

Obviously Squeenix is sucking some serious Microsoft ***** these days so who knows?

regardless... 360 has higher install base. And SE has mostly always went with who had higher install base. They left nintendo for sony, and now though they didnt leave sony, they are making more games for 360.

 » It's just that

what there doing nowadays is making the games for 360 first then importing to ps3 as we've had with almost all of the multiplatform games. It be just easier that way for them, since if they did it for ps3 first, theyd have to restructure the whole thing and compress it a LOT for the 360 which is pretty much a big no no for a next gen console. gotta have the graphics....as they say.
