Seriously. The guy tested the console, compared it to the 360 and focused solely on that. He tells no good points of the console, except two lines, saying that he liked Resistance and Blast Factor.
It is just twisted way of looking at the console. But don't get me wrong, he has many good points, but he just lacks to tell what he _liked_ about the system.

I played with the PS3 for a little while after launch and can honestly say I wasn't impressed either. Sure, they didn't put much thought in lines with the launch titles, but the graphics don't knock me down and say wow. I have a 360 and considered picking up a PS3. I'm glad I didn't since the power really isn't all too visible when compared to the 360. I'll stick with my Xbox thank you very much.
P.S. --> Just because I have a 360 doesn't make me a fan boy. I still play the ps2 on and off. Plus I plan on getting the Wii. Right now though, the PS3 is just too much money for so little.

hemakes no valid points at all if he had said i took it out of the box slaped a 500GB HD in and let the nxt gen begin i would have at least had some respect for any negative coments. unfortunaly this gen hasnt done much to end the gi jing vs. gamer rift thats been forming sence atari days

The writer acts like it is rocket science to set up a ps3. You follow the VERY SIMPLE instructions. He must have rode the short bus and had class down by the boiler room.
If you want to make a user profile you can do that . You put in a game and select it in the GAME part of the XMB and play.

You have to dock the controller once (unless it gets dropped often, which I haven't heard and wouldn't expect)... is this really that big of an issue?
Taking your controller to your friends house, dock it once, and the system remembers it I believe.

I read the article and all I can say is of course. With all the new technology Sony has tried to help come up with and put into the PS3 its no wonder that they are still lacking in many areas. I bet a lot of the concerns people have will be addressed and corrected but more than likely not all. Sony is probably working non stop to get new firmware out and correct many issues. I remember back less than a year ago at different press events when the PS3 was shown there were lots of things not ready on the PS3 interface and they mentioned that several times. I seen some of the first gen titles for the system and they look ok but yeah, not much better right now for the PS3. Just wait until developers get used to the system more to make great works. Look at games still to be released like Lair, Heavenly Sword and Final Fantasy XIII. To be honest I would have bought an XBOX 360 long ago if I would have seen better games. Sure there are a few pretty good looking games but not worth all that money to play. I would rather have my PS2 for now. I can't wait for the real show to begin.

Everyone knows the 360 is imcomplete too.. it was rushed... the power pack is external, because they couldnt tackle the heating issues, and its got no HD drive, because the manufacturing process couldnt cope with it like on the ps3..
the ps3 has simply decided to release a complete machine, and take a little bit longer.. besides why should they worry bout 360 lol

I purchased a Xbox 360 on drop day and noticed many problems that were relieved over the last 12 months... The experience I have with a 360 is nearly that of a computer (it runs on the network and connects to my media center) and the download content from their store issue took almost three to six months before a patch cured it (so that gamers could play games while downloading content). I am sure that in the near future alot of his personal problems with be relieved... I also have a PS3 and it does exectly what I want it to do...play games...if I want a computer...xbox 360
