If you've ever played the arcade coin-op of Namco Bandai's latest sequel in its groundbreaking light gun series, Time Crisis 4, you've probably wondered how it would be like if you were able to move freely in the environment by yourself, rather than letting the game push you through a predetermined path or "rails". This gameplay video update shows you exactly what it would look like if your wish came true, and darn if it doesn't look awesome.

Not only can you move by yourself, but other weapons besides firearms are available to you to dispose of your enemies as you see fit - and that's including cutting them up with a combat knife. It's almost like an FPS in all respects, except with that good old Time Crisis flavor. The first vid shows "Fighting Atop the Dam", while the second one is of "Gunplay in the Halls".

Embeds are below, you know what to do. Enjoy!
