Here's the latest advertisement video for Sierra Entertainment's TimeShift. The title will be released this coming October 30 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms. Owners of Microsoft's console is currently enjoying a brief advantage over the other builds as a demo was recently available over at Xbox Live.

Anyway, TimeShift is not your typical FPS as the developers added another dimension to the game. Like its name suggests, players has the option to manipulate the time by slowing it down, stopping, or even rewinding it to go back to the past and correct past mistakes. If used wisely, this power will really work to your advantage.

This particular video clip features a robbery in a convenience store. Watch carefully how the time-bending elements in TimeShift were used in this commercial. It will be useful to you when you finally get your hands on the game, though we wish we could use it in the real world as well. Enjoy!

What we have here are 10 smoking screenshots for the PlayStation 3 build of the video game TimeShift. The game was originally announced for the PC and the Xbox 360 platforms but Sierra Entertainment and Saber Interactive eventually revealed that the time-bending shooter will also be making an appearance on Sony's black shiny console.

Speaking of time-bending, TimeShift is not just your ordinary shooter because it relies heavily on the manipulation of time in the game. Here, players can slow down, freeze, or even rewind the time line. Aside from the awe-inspiring premise, the game also comes with astounding technical features like the integration of the physics engine Havok 4.5.

Both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of TimeShift will be available on October 30. On the other hand, the relatively newly-announced PS3 version will be released this December. It was reported that those who will pre-order a copy of the game will also be getting an exclusive character playable in the multiplayer mode.

TimeShift - Image 1Sierra Entertainment has announced a release date for their multiplatform title TimeShift (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360). The game was first announced during last year's E3 and was given a 2007 release date last September.

The PC and Xbox 360 versions of TimeShift will be in retail stores starting October 30. The PlayStation 3 version, which was confirmed only a few months ago, will be released in December. Sierra has not yet set a specific release date for the PS3 version of TimeShift.

Those who want to get their copies the day TimeShift hits can also start pre-ordering this week at select retailers across the U.S. Who these "select retailers" are was not revealed, however. According to the Sierra press release, those who pre-order will also be getting an exclusive playable character for the game's multiplayer mode.

About a few months ago, Saber Interactive is a video game developer based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. They focus on first person shooter games. It released the game Will Rock in 2003, and is currently developing another game called TimeShift.">Saber Interactive's TimeShift for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC got pulled into the proverbial wormhole for some major design revamps. Aside from several tweaks to the game's mechanics and graphics, the team was also going to integrate the Havok 4.5 physics engine, which was hoped to bring out even more of the game's potential.

Now, in case you're wondering how the title's looking in light of its overhaul (and previous trailers), we've pick up a new gameplay trailer for your viewing pleasure - and it's just in time for E3 2007.

Currently published by Sierra Entertainment, TimeShift is expected to launch this Fall. Keep an eye out in case we hear more details.

Saber Interactive is a video game developer based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. They focus on first person shooter games. It released the game Will Rock in 2003, and is currently developing another game called TimeShift.">Saber Interactive, the guys behind the Sierra's chrono shooter for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, was given an entire year to patch up a game that was reportedly plagued with "seven bugs." But following a year's delay, TimeShift underwent a complete overhaul.

TimeShift gets a facelift - Image 1

In an interview with IGN, it has been revealed that the game's visual appeal took an "up close and personal" feel, sporting immense detail and darker theme than before. But that's not all. The game also endured the trashing of four entire levels, overall character redesigns, tweaking to time control mechanics and gameplay, integration of the Havok 4.5 physics engine and a painful revamp of the entire graphics engine.

But why go through all that trouble? That's because Saber considered TimeShift's old iteration as uncompetitive in a "post-Unreal Engine 3" world. Also Saber's Kyle Peschel explained that gamers didn't quite get the "Steam Punk" bit, and believes that they've done well with the new face of TimeShift.

A few of the maps have even been made larger. Physics have been improved that an enemy's gibs won't just fly over the place, they'll flip-flop and dance around until they land. New scripting made enemies more lifelike in their mannerisms, while Saber Interactive hopes to deliver the title balanced in performance and features over all platforms.

TimeShift - Image 1

Sony PlayStation 3 fans have another reason to smile as Sierra Entertainment and Valve are at it again. The makers of the legendary Half-life franchise that changed the way we think about games have decided to push for another huge innovation with Timeshift, a shooter that lets you play with time. The game was originally announced for the PC and the Microsoft Xbox 360 but now the developers have cemented the fact that Timeshift will also be in the PS3.

Using the fourth dimension as the centerpiece of the game's unique concepts, Sierra intends to create a psychological shooter where players must devise smart and brutal ways to make the seemingly impossible possible by slowing down, freezing or rewinding the timeline itself.

But wait, if we rewind time and go back to the past to kill the guy who was going to kill us, then nobody will be there in the present to kill us, therefore, we won't have a reason to go to the past to kill that guy. Weird. Let's see how it all plays out.

Even more exciting is the fact that we can all bring our time manipulation abilities online and use them on other people. In fact, up to 16 time-travelers can battle it out across 14 multiplayer maps with 60 options to tweak the gameplay to optimum levels.

Even the weapons here are not anything you've ever seen before. Assault rifles, sniper rifles and pistols all have twisted derivatives to put some huge chronological pain on anyone who gets in your way. Suit up and don't forget the ammo. You'll be spending a lot of time with this mind-boggler.
