Coming from the official PlayStation boards for both North America and Europe, we finally get confirmation of the release of the Trophy patch for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Naughty Dog is first on the scene in taking advantage of this feature brought to us by the PlayStation 3 2.40 firmware update. With this, new life has been breathed to Uncharted, so pop it back in to your systems.

If you haven't heard yet, Uncharted will get a total of 48 Trophies. All but one can be unlocked by finding hidden stuff and accomplishing cool feats in combat. The last one will be a Platinum Trophy which will be unlocked by acquiring all the other 47.

If this sounds like the old medal system that the game had before Trophies debuted, you're right. The devs admit that Trophies and medals are tied together. At least it's a start for the feature, right?

In any case, you'll have to start a new game with no medals unlocked if you want to start gunning for Trophies. Naughty Dog wanted to guard against cheaters, so everyone has to start with a clean slate.
