Okay, since the release of the much awaited trailer for Grand Theft Auto 4, folks have been reacting a bit too quickly. For one thing several New York bigwigs felt offended that the remodeled Liberty City is now more similar to New York. However before we all go ballistic/send e-mails to defend the trailer, just calm down and remember that the Eastern European (Russian?) protagonist himself said that "Perhaps here, things will be different."

So what are we to do? Well, what else, other than mine the said trailer for details and hope that we'd be able to - in a CSI-esque manner - pry from its corpus enough information for us to come up with a reasonable set of things to expect from the game.

QJ's own Kyle M. did that a few days ago, noting things Liberty City signs, LCPD squad cars, post year 2000 car models, and a Visit Vice City sign. But just in case we missed anything, below is the analysis of the folks from GameVideos. Click play to see their take on it.

Yeah, we did the same thing they did. Chris L screamed "Play it again! Amp the volume!" or something like that when the thing came out. What about you folks? Anything you spotted?

That was a very great analysis, I didn't even think or notice about most of that before, and I really did like the 'knit picking'. Kinda funny at the end too, lol, "Where's the GTA?"

those politicians are stupid, the trailer exhibit fine details of liberty city which accidentally looks like NY. no violence yet, so these people are acting very early. hyp 0 (r it

where are the dogs/cats??? did PETA not let us abuse them?

and that "kid" with a book bag, he better be a midget cause there might be some more fuel for jack thompson if you have child abuse in that....killing kids? running them over?somehow, it gets all wrong when kdis are involved.... what the gay.

 » pause

I was pausing the video at certain spots and I noticed a movie poster saying "I Slept With Your Mom"

The citizen AI seems more realistic. At the beginning you can take notice of the people chillin on the front steps of the houses. The people also look varied in appearence, giving it a good city life feel.

» I saw a bug in the movie

At the moment the people are walking on the street, on the left from the screen there is a house, a lady walks through the object with her feet. Just check the 720p trailer you will see ;).
