The Track Studio in United Front Games' ModNation Racers was one of the pleasant surprises during Sony's E3 presentation last month. It kinda brings back memories of all those hours I spent playing around with Excitebike's own track creator.
The game has since gone silent, but today we get to see a bit more of it in this debut trailer. There's still a long wait until we get to make tracks dotted with giant boobs and assorted death jumps, though, as the game is slated for a 2010 release. Related articles: |

LBP is not revolutionary
all LBP did was give you the bare minimum of what games have been offering for many years with some nice gfx stuck on top
LBP i just an level creator, end of, and level creators have been in use for many years especially in 2d open-source projects which are similar to this
BUT this game does look really good, i hope you can create a level that fast and it doesn have complicated controls
mario kart wii, suck my balls

Track creation seems to be pretty fast. The devs who presented it at E3 made a great-looking track in like five minutes. Of course, they're already very familiar with the controls so maybe us normal folks can whip one up in ten minutes or so. :)

emcp I think you're wrong. LBP made it easy for anyone to easily create and share levels in it with so much variety and creativity and on a console. It's appeal works for all ages too being not too mature so kids can't play and not too overly cute that adults could be put off.

This looks like a PSN game, to be honest.
But then again, that's what I thought when I saw LBP for the first time.
