An Indian-based company called UTV Software Communication has claimed 70% of the controlling shares of game developer Ignition Entertainment Ltd.
This ownership was declared effective as of March 12, 2007. Ignition is now
in negotiations with leading development teams with a goal to improve their releases from now to next year.Vijay Chadha, CEO and co-founder of Ignition Entertainment Ltd, spoke on how this changes the company's gameplan. This transition marks the beginning of an aggressive plan for Ignition Entertainment’s future and we will soon be announcing new products for the upcoming year, along with further details of our first PS3 title, WarDevil. We are also actively seeking new product to ensure continued growth and focus for the company. UTV Software has vast expertise in the movie and entertainment industry which will provide greater potential to our development and publishing partners as we ensure their titles reach the biggest audience possible. It has been noted that UTV presents Ignition Entertainment with many opportunities in the movie and entertainment arena. However, Ignition Entertainment will undergo restructuring from this year to the next, with the company focusing on releasing original IPs and licenses for multiple platforms. Ronald D'Mello, the COO of UTV Software, noted how the restructuring and new focus for the company will manifest itself this fiscal year. This fiscal year will see Ignition Entertainment sourcing next gen titles with premier development teams, as well as actively chasing original and key intellectual properties in our endeavour to ensure we position ourselves as a company that releases cutting edge and exciting games. We are currently in a period of rapid growth, and looking for partnerships with development teams that share our vision. Both companies are excited about the up-and-coming WarDevil on PlayStation 3 which they consider to be the "cornerstone of the new type of media-rich synergies that are leading drivers in UTV’s overall global strategies." How WarDevil will fare with the new support behind it is still unknown, though we should expect to hear more on this game in the future. |

As more press hype and media coverage spills over to bring WarDevil onto the limelight, some people are starting to get a tad bit confused. There's a WarDevil-this and a WarDevil-that. Let's just flush out the demons and exorcise all this confusion. The name of the game is WarDevil, ok? It's developed by the UK-based studio Digi-guys and will be using their RTE 1080 Engine to run the said FPS on 1080p. That much, we already know. Clear so far? Now, on to the various names that have been attached to it:
We've been getting quite a number of feedback from our comments section and we hope this was able to lay the devil to rest. More info? Only a matter of time, my friends... |

While a bunch of you FPS junkies are trying to hold back the Chimera threat in Resistance: Fall of Man, a more ominous evil is surfacing from behind the curtains of PS3landia. Is this a possible R:FoM-killer? Only time will tell. Or maybe these screenshots could. As of the moment, Indigo Prophecy is hard at work with their upcoming WarDevil but we're glad that they've released a new bunch of pics to send shiver down our spines. It's one thing trying to hold back a couple of aliens. It's quite something else if you're up against creatures of the Netherworld in hi-tech armor and high powered artillery. One interesting factor of this game is that it's going to use the WarDevil RTE 1080 Engine developed by Digi-guys Studios. This engine will bring the game some graphical depth and complexity for their WarDevil project. The goal here is to achieve in-game graphics that are comparable in quality to pre-rendered cinematic sequences. If that's true, then the screenshots below are gameplay screens. Not cinematics. Yeowza! |

Ah, Sunday! Glorious, glorious Sunday! E3 2006 has come and gone, but we've still got plenty of stuff to share with you guys! Aside from the many hands-on impressions that QJ.NET's E3 reporters will be writing up all week long, we've got a whole host of random imagery from E3, as well as many gameplay videos from hot-topic games like Mobile Suit Gundam, Gran Turismo HD, and Warhawk - as well as a nice little vid of the PS3 in 360-degree splendor. You can catch the vids at the bottom of this article, but for now - the pics, in no particular order or clever arrangement!
And for those of you clamoring for PSP demos - all the stations at E3 (as seen in the first picture) were setup for "Game Sharing" - so sadly, there is no way to share these demos with you, our fine readers. But there may be one or two trinkets that were scored at E3 that may be up for grabs in the near future, but you'll hear more about that later. Until then, keep watching QJ.NET for more hands on impressions from E3, and take a look at these gameplay video clips! Gameplay Videos: [Age of Conan] [Genji 2] [Gran Turismo HD] [Mobile Suit Gundam] [Heavenly Sword] [Motorstorm] [Resistance - Fall of Man] [Virtua Tennis 3] [WarDevil] [Warhawk] [PS3 Display] |
