Sony's Warhawk is almost a year old, but the action in the online shooter has never been more intense. It's about to get even hotter on the 16th of July as the version 1.4 update gets set to drop. Two new modes are coming to the game: Hero and Collection mode. Personally, this blogger thinks Hero mode will be a real pleaser as it offers some very cool mechanics. Hero mode will have players working in two teams with one Epic Hero selected in each squad. Teams can score in a few ways: having the Hero kill players will yield one point. If a Hero kills another hero, it's two points. If a player or a group of them kills the Hero, it's another one point. The good thing about being the Hero is that you'll be looking bad-ass draped in your team's colors. You'll also emit a growl which will tell enemies that trouble is coming. If that's not enough, how about glowing with energy sparks? Over 9,000! But it's not all flash for Heroes. They'll be endowed with 500 percent health, and they'll be dealing double damage. Of course, the downside is that everyone will be gunning for them, and when they die, the Hero status is transferred to another team member. That way, everyone gets a taste of the insane powers that come with the heavy responsibilities of leading a team. Collection Mode, on the other hand, will have players in a team all in equal status, using tactics to secure two energy cores in the Eucadian bridge. Once taken, these Cores must be brought back to the teams' respective reactors to score points. It sounds simple, but when you have a team of enemies in hot pursuit to recover the Core, it's a mad dash of an experience to say the least. That's all we have for now, so just keep watch on the update which will have a worldwide launch on the 16th at 10:000 GMT, or 3:00 AM Pacific. Tell us how your runs go, okay? Related articles
