Do I need an HDTV for this linux? will i b able to redownload my bought games?

   Re: platon - 2008-11-24
 » yes

Yes and no for the HDTV (sadly). You can also install it using your monitor, but you need HD for install. Still, without HD screen you can install using the test install (a pain in the...).

For the bought games, yes you can redownload them for free (dah). When you buy a game, it's yours. You can see the icon change in the store. Try downloading it and you'll see, it'll download without asking anything, even without the funds, lol.

 » Linux compatibility

Do different Linux distributions of Linux have incompatibilities with one another. I know enough to "get by" in Ubuntu in which I'm running right now, but will all my emulators and other stuff work with YDL? I like the changelog for this update but I don't want to screw up what I have with Ubuntu.

This is great! Now we have access to the RAM of the video card! Double the amount of RAM! hell yeah!

(Notice that this does NOT mean we have access to the GPU, YET)

is says public mirrors sometime next month (go december). Oddly enough post was done in ydl from my ps3. linux as it is not unconfigured is a little slow/choppy. though i imagine with the cell processor sdk thinggy it would run margenably better. and updated would be a good thing. look hard enough at electronics stores (and i am not talking best buy circuit city or any retailer like that i mean the mom and pops kinda electronics store) and you should finda a cable that goes from hdmi to dvi no probs.
