PSP Charger - Image 1

So, you're a little lazy to hold on to your PSP. More so, you're running out of batteries and need to charge up. Well, we found a really interesting item that could help you charge up while playing with your PSP. We're talking about Gametech's Stand Charger P+, one that also holds on to your PSP while charging. So it serves a little bit of a cradle, stand, and charger altogether. The Stand Charger P+ costs around US$ 13 and so far, it's only being sold in Japan. But you could bet that your online seller will be grabbing one of these sometime soon. Just keep watch.

Another concern among PS3 owners is switching their HDDs to SATA. Some have tried installing them only to find out that the 3.5 SATA drives are too tight, while the 2.5 are too loose for the PS3. Here's where the PS3 External SATA Adapter - known as PS3 ESATA - comes in. The ESATA Adapter allows you to use external 3.5 inch SATA hardrives instead of your PS3 internal hard drive. According to their tests, the SATA hard drive loads faster by 19 seconds compared to the regular hard drive. It even loads the menu almost 30 seconds faster compared to the regular 60HD.

How many Gundams does it need to kill one million Zakus? One.

This Gundam Musou TV spot in Japan should be appropriately called as the "Zaku Massacre." Did you see how many Zakus died in that commercial? If you tried counting all the Zakus written on that ending screen, I'm sure you'd find a battalion of Zakus. Sure, we have seen these chain attacks in Dynasty Warriors, but to see our loved Gundam hitting Zakus like flies is a different story altogether. I'm sure, after you've gunned, sliced, and whacked a battalion of Zakus, you'd be screaming like Yzak on espressos.

Definitely shorter compared to yesterday's trailer, however, seeing those Zakus explode is more than enough to tell us how great this game is gonna get. I wonder if there's a stage when you can just keep on killing Zaku upon Zaku for the longest time. That'd be the funnest stage yet.

Coaches will do anything and everything just to make you a better player. They'll let you hit cans of coke, weed out a grassy lawn, and play barefoot if you have to. So it's no wonder that Virtua Tennis 3 comes up with another insane idea to make sure we make that smashing ace when we play the game.

Yes, here comes brainless fun in the most focused sport one could ever play. Witness the Pin Crusher on Virtua Tennis 3! It's much like bowling for tennis. You've got an enormous ball, which I don't know where you'll get a racket for, and some giant pins that you've got to knock down with some strong aces.

The concept is quite simple and hilarious. Thank god the Williams sisters never suffer the humiliation of playing this in real life, but for sure it's all fun and games when it comes to Virtua Tennis 3. This bowling of sorts is just one of many hilarious side games that come with Virtua Tennis 3. So, are you ready to waste some time for this? In the spirit of fun, let's knock 'em down!

Akihabara, the bastion of Japanese electronics and otaku culture, is still being raided by otakus who are still lined up to get their own PS3s. Usual residents of what is commonly known as Akiba, the Akiba-keis, are lined up hoping to get their own PS3s. It seems that there were three stores in Akiba that opened simultaneously, all of which have been packed with long lines.

The first sales of PS3 were sold at Yodobashi Akiba where the lines started as early as November 10. The console was sold at 7 a.m. and the store even held a countdown to commemorate the grand sale of the PS3. The same happened to the two other big stores in Akiba which sold their PS3 goods at the usual 10 a.m. opening time. The sale of the PS3 was no fuss as well. The lines were outside the store and stretched even to the basement levels of the parking lot of the buildings.

The CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment as well as other higher ups in the company were in different gaming stores, handing out PS3s to their loyal fans. At the end of the table was a cash register ready to empty out buyers' wallets.

The 60GB PS3 sold more than the 20GB. I guess the issue of price was not a problem at all with the gaming otakus in Akiba. Rain came in sometime during the day, but that didn't stop people from lining up. They were still there until the stores ran out of stock by 6 p.m. Although the stores have closed their doors for the day, there were still people falling in line outside, ready to buy their PS3s the next day.

As of current, the PS3s haven't been entirely sold out yet. So, if you're up for a short trip to Japan to get first dibs on the PS3, you might still catch some PS3 action. However, don't expect the 60GB to be easily available. Then again, you could try upgrading it.

Nero and Dante

Certainly, all the buzz on the upcoming Devil May Cry game is all on the new hero, Nero. Sure, he's a young guy with a demon growing out of his right hand. Some even speculate that this dashing silver-haired hero could be a reincarnation of Dante's older brother, Vergil. Well, until the game comes out, we could only speculate, but at least you can keep on brewing your theories with some new-found hint about the story.

Now, it seems that Nero is not some half-devil incarnate like the brothers Dante and Vergil. Instead, he is a human whose right hand is actually possessed by a demon. At the beginning of the game, this demon hand lies dormant. However, when a demon beckons another demon, it cannot help but to answer the other's call. Because of this, Nero actually goes to what is loosely translated as a "Demon Institute" to learn how to control his demon.

In this institute, he received the Red Queen and the Blue Rose. These two weapons work hand in hand as the Red Queen is equipped by the demon hand, while the Blue Rose provides a support for the other. The perfect combo would include throwing your Red Queen to the ground and shooting the demon down as you descend.

The Demon Institute trained Nero (and perhaps other students as well) in controlling their demons by using various weapons. It seems that in this timeline, there are more people who are possessed or inflicted with Demon troubles. It's large enough for them to even have a festival about it (hence you see the lovely Kyrie singing in front of everybody).

Now where does Dante come in? Apparently, Dante is the usual reckless nut who likes messing up the party. He actually goes to the institute and slays everyone that comes his way. His intentions are still unclear, but for sure we know that he's not keen about this whole Demon Institute and is out to get the person behind it all.

Naturally, Capcom won't be giving us the whole DMC Conspiracy, but from the looks of it, we're sure to have another hellish experience with DMC4. Here's me hoping that Vergil pops out in the game.

When we think of Golf, we always think of the perfect swing. However, the beauty of golf is not just in the control of small ball, but also the environment that the ball will be played in. For Sega Golf Club, it's all about the greens and the view. They give us five courses that we could play in: A seaside resort golf club, Bali High Golf Club, Phoenix Country Club, the Pacific Ocean Club's Gotenba course, and lastly the world's first golf course, Saint Andrews. Except for the Seaside resort golf club, most of the courses in the game are real and prestigious golf clubs. Getting to these golf clubs can be rather pricey, but at least you get a shot at it with Sega Golf Club.

In this update as well, there are different modes available to the game. There is a round mode, wherein you play a whole 18-hole round of golf. There's also a putter mode, where you can practice your putting skills. There is a challenge mode wherein you play different holes with challenging greens. As you complete more and more challenges, you are then given harder challenges to accomplish. The last mode would be the club house where you'll need the goods to make the perfect birdie.

Sega Golf Club won't be using the remote but would be using the analog stick in the controller in order to determine the strength, pressure, and direction of the swing. An interesting note about this game is when you're stuck in a pinch, you can even ask your caddy for some help.

Sometimes, just getting the robot is not enough. You want your robot to be custom fit to your needs. In a game that needs your robots to be in top shape, you’ve got to make sure your ‘bots got the goods. And the people at From gives us a look at the fuselage system of Armored Core 4.

The Fuselage System is where you can customize your Armored Core. Starting from the weapons and the power supplies, you try to see what kind of body can fit to the weapon and power that you like. One thing interesting is the tuning aspect of the fuselage system. You can fine tune your weapons in order to fit the requirements of your body.

For example, you can detail as much power as you want in your legs so that you could customize your mech’s speed. The fuselage system allows you to distribute your power accordingly. Gone are days when you just slap your parts together, you’ve got to carefully think about your mech’s balance, performance, and strength as a whole. Well, it might appear a little meddlesome right now, but hopefully From puts two and two together when the game comes out on the PS3.

So, we saw the trailers. We saw the screenshots. We got a little bit of details but not really enough to make us grasp at least the oncoming of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot. True to Hideo fashion (if you have been following Hide-chan radio), he brought his radio cast and Akio Otsuka (the voice of Solid Snake) to give curious fans what to expect with the game. As said before, the Octocam plays a crucial role in the game as it completely blends you to the terrain. More so, CQC also makes a comeback. But what else are we to see in the game? Well, the Kojima Production show in the Konami booth gives us more details on what to expect from the game.

1

Terrain

As said before, the setting for Metal Gear Solid 4 is somewhere in the Middle East, in a battlefield for industrial and capitalist warfare. Kojima says that people should expect that this is no longer a game about sneaking into territory but rather using your tactical experience to win a war. Hence, as a battlefield, gone are jungle terrains and long climbs.

The landscape easily switches from the interior to the exterior; a small step can easily make you visible to your enemy. Trenches and ruins are the most common terrains that you will encounter in the game. The Octocam at its highest level can give you a chance to fully conceal yourself much like the stealth cam we’ve encountered before. But if unused properly, then Johnny Sasaki might just catch you.

More on the terrain and also three-dimensional battle and weapons and Mark II info after the jump!

Kawaii!

Ah!!! The Boku no Natsuyasumi series! It always reminds me of youth, endless days of fun, and the bugs! Yes, the bug-filled Boku no Natsuyasumi series by Sony Entertainment has announced their PS3 venture, the third installment of their summer vacation adventure game.

In this game, you visit your Uncle Yoshimoto's farm up in the hills and you explore the forest and the lake for some bugs and fish. Famitsu notes that it's possible that you might have other scenarios on this game. You could have an opportunity to visit the beach or the countryside, but for this update, you're sure to visit your uncle's bug-filled ranch! Your uncle has a family of four and you get a chance to play around with them in his farm.

Of course, the best part about this summer vacation game is the bugs! Their update also releases a series of bugs, butterflies, and grasshoppers. For those unfamiliar with the previous Boku no Natsuyasumi games, the game's objective is to capture as many bugs and creating a collection of bugs during your summer vacation. A little icky for some. But nonetheless, this is what a perfect summer vacation is all about, right?

In case some of you don't know, Hideo Kojima has his own net radio show called "Hidechan Radio." The language may be in Japanese, but if you do get a chance to listen to it, it's bound to be entertaining. It's in this radio show that he gives Metal Gear fans like us some lovely previews on the upcoming Metal Gear games coming out on the PS3 or the PSP. And in this week's radio show, other than the usual voice actor and Kojima talking and having fun during the show, they gave a really great update for us fans.

"Hidechan Radio" presents to us a radio drama called “Idea Spy. 2.5 Epic Battle.” Is it still Metal Gear related!? Of course it is! It in fact streams from 6pm until midnight everyday (ideally), but only new episodes come out every Friday night. Now that's a damn long radio drama. The story is written by Shuuyou Murata, the screenwriter for the Metal Gear series, and Hideo-chan takes unto his own directing the voice actors. It is independent on the events of the Metal Gear series. Seriously, I think it's just Hideo's crack meter running again.

"Idea Spy" is set in New York wherein a cargo of plain clothing was being maneuvered by an extremely awful (yes, this is how they put it) group named the Junker Expensive of America. The group plans to sell this all over the city. The FBI then forms a covert ops group called 2.5 who will be fighting off the JEA.

Honestly, it sounds weird, but then the show will only start Friday, so we've got to wait and see what happens. For all we know, it could really be related to Metal Gear like Hideo said. He hopes that it becomes extremely popular and hopes to push for merchandising and even paid downloads for the show. I have no idea about the campaign against bad clothing, but with the pilot image of the drama showing Snake in a tuxedo and an unknown lady dressed pretty well, Hideo may have wanted to add some class into our favorite Snake. Maybe it's the fact that Hide-chan has been dressed quite well himself. If you check his blog, he happily posts an acknowledgment to the designer of his clothes - Jean Paul Gaultier. Is he trying to promote fashionable gaming now?
