Explosions. There will be a lot of them in Electronic Arts' Battlefield: Bad Company, and all of them will involve the loss of life, limb, or property. Sounds like fun, right?

Well, IGN has a new video up that should make you guys smile. It features some soldiers preparing to engage in all-out war. Against whom? We don't know. All we know is that they are left unfazed by the numerous explosions happening around them, and there's all the usual staples of war: gunshots, explosions, and people wiping their dirt-stained faces (okay, mostly the first two).

Oh, and did we mention that there's a grenade with a smiley on it? Trust us, it makes more sense when you watch it. Battlefield: Bad Company (PS3, Xbox 360) is slated for release sometime in 2008.

As expected, more news is streaming in from this year's Leipzig Games Convention. Goodies and eye candy included. Rejoice FPS fans, we found a sweet semi-shaky cam footage for you from Digital Illusions' Battlefield: Bad Company.

In the video, we see how to get rid of pesky enemy units far larger than the average soldier, i.e. helicopters and tanks. Hop over to a gun turret or rain fire from the heavens by tagging targets with a laser. We get to catch glimpses of just how destructible the environments are (make sure to keep an eye on the trees and the walls). Come to think of it, this is just the second Battlefield: Bad Company video we've seen so far and it's looking good.

We'll quit with the babble. Check out the video and feel free to grace the comments section with... well, comments. Battlefield: Bad Company (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) will be marching to the shelves next year.
