Prior to Enchanted Arms' release, online store Amazon ran a deal that lets players own the video game for just US$ 39.99. Now that it has been out for a couple of months now, PlayStation 3 owners who have yet to purchase this RPG title can finally but it for even less courtesy of another store GameStop.
Yep, over at its online site, we spotted a listing for Enchanted Arms carrying a price tag of just US$ 19.99. We have to say that this is a relatively good deal given the game's storyline and various features. Speaking of which, players take on the role of enchanter-in-training Atsuma in a quest to become the most powerful warrior in a war that is 1,000 years in the making. In terms of gameplay, Enchanted Arms features a rather unique SpeedTactics Battle System that allows gamers to move their characters and perform distance-dependent attacks even during battles. It also has around 130 unlockable creatures which players can utilize as part of their team. Enchanted Arms was developed by From Software and was published by Ubisoft. It was also released on the Xbox 360 platform. Our Read link below should take you to GameStop's product page for the title. Thanks to QJ.NET reader sentence for the heads up! |

The Xbox360 version of Enchanted Arms has been in stores since last year but the PS3 version was only released over a week ago for North America. For those who are still trying to decide whether to get the game or not, here's a couple of gameplay videos.
From Software's Enchanted Arms is a role playing game which centers on the the adventures of three students of the Enchant University: Atsuma, Toya, and Makoto. The gameplay videos feature Power Burst and Toya's Heavenly Squall. You don't want to mess with that little girl with a big Gatling gun. Anyway, you can also see the differences in the elements that each character wields, specifically Atsuma using fire while Toya uses water. Enchanted Arms for the PS3 is already on the shelves and if you haven't gotten it, you might as well check out the videos. Enjoy! Check out the other gameplay video right after the jump! |

We may have already been told (all the way back in September of last year) by Japanese game studio From Software that their next generation RPG Enchanted Arms is coming to the PS3, and we've even seen a video trailer for the PS3 version. However, the folks over at Ubisoft have taken their time and have only just officially announced that Enchanted Arms will be coming to the PS3 this March. The game is set in the first true next-generation fantasy world filled with breathtaking cinematic graphics and vibrant characters as you'd expect from a PS3 title. It includes more than 50 hours of gameplay if you're pretty good, and it's the only next-gen RPG with the fast-action SpeedTactics Battle System, which enables the player to move his or her characters and use distance-dependent attacks while in battle. Why stick with the average RPG system when there's a whole lot more to play with? Taking the role of Atsuma, enchanter-in-training, players will transform from a naïve student into the most powerful savior in a war 1,000 years in the making. Players went mad for the Xbox 360 version of this RPG and we don't see why they won't go mad for the PS3 version too. I guess we'll have to wait till March to find out! |

More and more videos are trickling in for the PS3 version of From Software's Enchanted Arms.
And while these two clips are as short as they can be, they're more of
a trailer to introduce the characters than anything else (don't worry,
no spoilers). These Japanese shorts will show you how different Atsuma
and Touya are, especially with regards to their behavior in school.
Some of you who've played the 360 version
of this game might be all too familiar with these guys already, but you
gotta admit, their antics still catch us off-guard from time to time.

The time-honored practice of porting existing games to new game systems have always been one of the things that the videogame industry loves doing, so it didn't exactly come as a surprise when it was revealed that From Software is bringing Enchanted Arms over to the PS3. Just recently, word has come out that the company is also planning to come out with a demo of the game, to be released sometime near the end of this month in Japan. It has been reported that the PS3 version of Enchanted Arms will be seeing some in-depth overhauling. The textures will be beefed up to make the transitions between the FMVs and the in-game graphics as seamless as possible. New episodes will also be added as well, and the game's battle system will be receiving as few tweaks here and there. Hopefully all of these as well as the other enhancements will be shown in the demo. The PS3 version of Enchanted Arms will be released in Japan on January 25. We'll keep an eye out for further news on this topic, so keep checking back here for updates. |
