A few of the upcoming PSN updates for this week have been detailed over at the US PlayStation Blog, including the new inFamous Home space that's coming out tomorrow. Details and a video of the new Home space after the jump.

Though not an entirely new concept, applying smell-technology to video games is damned cool - at least of course, until they start applying the same smelly tech to Resident Evil or some such. But anyway, yes, smell-tech is slowly wafting its way to video games, and a team from the University of Birmingham is doing just that!

It's been about a month now since Far Cry 2's release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, and still, the mind-boggling 88% completion glitch has still plagued many a frustrated gamer, without any word from Ubisoft.

You really do learn something new everyday. Take the announcement for some new Far Cry 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) DLC for example. This DLC batch includes a silenced shotgun, something that I thought only existed in movies. I looked into it a bit, and apparently, it does. Wow. In just about 3 weeks, Far Cry 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) has sold a million copies at retail around the globe. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot believes that their FPS's gameplay and visual experience was what impressed gamers worldwide.

Just like 2k Games' BioShock (PS3, Xbox 360) in 2007, Ubisoft did the same for Far Cry 2 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), cropping the 4:3 format to feign the 16:9 aspect ratio. The result? Less picture and more frustrated gamers.
