QJ readers The Bunny and Jay Doggg alerts us to this instructional YouTube video posted by xTHExBUNNYx. If you've ever wondered if there was a way to get out of the map in Sega's Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PS3, click play on the video embed below and get educated.

We now wonder if there are other areas where you can "fall" off the map. If you folks know, feel free to alert us via the comments below. We'd like to investigate ourselves, but QJ Blogger Chris L. is a bit too busy with trying to destroy that Sonic The Hedgehog billboard in Chasm Arena. He's got a mission in life. Oh well.

Destruction Derby PS1 packshot - Image 1IGN reports that the latest addition to the PlayStation Store is the classic demolition derby game, Destruction Derby.

Released back in 2000 for the PS1, Destruction Derby was developed by Studio 33 and even saw a sequel on the PS2. According to IGN, Sony is planning to update the PS Store tomorrow, February 15, and among the additions to the store is Destruction Derby and a demo of Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PS3.

Like the other classic PS1 games put up on the PS Store, Destruction Derby will also be playable only on the PSP. So if you're interested, watch out for the said update and look for Destruction Derby, which will be made available for US$ 5.99.

All we know is that one of these things is supposed to be the Thunderhawk... - Image 1All we know is that one of these things is supposed to be the Thunderhawk... - Image 2

It's probably this generation's Twisted Metal (until the guys behind Twisted Metal come up with one for this generation), and with Pseudo Interactive's Full Auto 2: Battlelines making its way to the starting line, Gamespot decided to show off a bit of the game's arsenal: two of the cars that will cut through traffic like a hot knife through butter, and one of the cars' weapons.

Okay, so it's not the entire showroom. But then, that only means that we've got to play the game to find the rest of the cars to wreck.

The Thunderbird is a 1970s-era muscle car set in the Industrial District. Gamespot talks about this car bridging the generational gap "between the older Vulcan and newer Enforcer and Inferno muscle cars." All we can say is that if this car makes the others 'splode good, then that's good enough for us. One of the newer models to come out is the experimental Executioner, a swifter, more agile - but less armored - road beast.

The cars in the game share one weapon, the mortar, but what makes each car's mortar special is that each car uses different ammo for its mortar. You've got the area-of-effect Earthshaker, the shrapnel-throwing Nail Bomb, and the deep-frying Napalm ammunition. Either way, this translates to driving through the middle of hell every time you try to pass someone.

(As for our banner images... Gamespot identifies the car on the left as the experimental Executioner, but it don't look very "experimental" as compared to the other car. And if the car on the right is a 1970's muscle car, then I'm Starsky. We're wondering if Gamespot got their pics mixed up...)

Gee, tearing up the highway has never been this fun...While it hadn't been able to make PS3 Launch Day, it will definitely make it to PS3s in time for Christmas. Pseudo Interactive's Full Auto 2: Battlelines has gone gold. This is the only bit of news that WorthPlaying's got on the game, though - no other sneak peeks of PlayStation Network goodies, nothing about working with its sister game on the PSP, just that the game has gone gold and will be released on December 7, which is at least five days earlier than the last release date we posted, December 12.

And with Gran Turismo HD now just a demo, at least it's nice to know that other devs are committed to getting their PS3 titles to PS3s. In other words, following through.

Anyway, back to topic. A few recaps of the game features: in Full Auto 2 players will battle through a multipath campaign mode to take over Staunton City (which oddly mirrors the campaign mode to take over Palmont City in Need for Speed Carbon) only with guns and bombs and missiles. Returning from the first Full Auto is Unwreck mode, a.k.a. rewind and replay because you fouled up that last turn. And for multiplayer mayhem, there's Arena Mode which features team play and six different levels, each tailored to a different kind of vehicular carnage.

After Pseudo Interactive hit the brakes and pushed back the release of Full Auto 2: Battlelines to December 12, info about the game only came in trickles. That's not to say the buzz has totally died down. In fact, videogame racing junkies are still very much interested in the possible PSP-PS3 game link-up. Pseudo has been mum about this, so most of what we've heard and read about are mere speculations. But that's to be expected, after all, a delay could mean some last minute fixes to make our gaming experience much more enjoyable.

We don't want to keep our hopes way up, but we're still hoping just the same. In the meantime, watch the "Merciless Mayhem" video which shows a souped-up car furiously chasing enemies and nailing them down with help from unforgiving powerups.

Full Auto 2

Le cry, le sigh, le curse. There goes another "launch title". Sega's just updated their product page for Full Auto 2: Battlelines with some disturbing news. While everyone was expecting the game to hit retail on November 17, they're now hitting the breaks and slowing down to an early December release.

Wonder what prompted a delayed explosion into the scene? Everyone seemed to have been excited for the crash-or-be-burned game of high-powered, arsenal-rigged cars. Well, maybe they're equipping the game with some final modifications. Especially after their very recent announcement that it's coming for the PSP, adding a couple of PSP-PS3 interaction features for the game seems like a worthwhile endeavor.

In any case, whatever reason they've got for the delay, we'll bring you guys more news once they come out with a full statement. In the meantime, we can all remain hopeful and keep our fingers on the stick shift on standby.

Full Auto 2

It'll only be a few more days before we see Full Auto 2: Battlelines hit the streets, and while we're waiting, we thought we'd serve up another round of trailers - courtesy of IGN - just to keep you guys stoked. While it's more of the same action and wanton violence we've probably seen, we can never seem to get enough of this same said wanton violence.

Maybe it's the way these cars blow each other to smithereens, maybe it's that loud, in-'yo-face music that gets the blood pumping, or maybe it's just that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you sniff a whiff of that new car smell...or was that nitrous oxide?

Oh well, have fun watching these trailers - they'll be featuring some of the other maps we'll be seeing as we rip along at breakneck speeds. Remember: 50,000 people die every year due to car-related accidents - always wear your seat-belt...and flak vest. Enjoy.

logoPseudo Interactive's PS3 offering Full Auto 2: Battlelines most definitely looks ready for battle with this latest trailer. The vid opens with some heavy rock music, and it was pretty effective in adding to the feeling of some hard-core heavy car action. Showcased are the different car models, all set up, of course. The ammos are either on the front bumper of the cars or on the roof. Either way, they look swell.

The sweeping camera movements add to the full dramatic effect, along with the crashes and near-misses with ongoing traffic. Heading your way this November 17, make sure you gear up for this battle.

You can check out the trailer via the link below. Enjoy!

Full Auto 2: BattlelinesEverybody knows that opening a can of whoop-ass just isn't the same without an appropriately loud background song. That's why Pseudo Interactive, the developers behind Full Auto 2: Battlelines, gave each of the main rivals in the game their own theme song. And that's not all. The closer you get to your rival, the louder their theme song gets.

Y'know, just for those features, we'd give Pseudo Interactive a hand right here and now, but what about the songs? It ain't no fun if the songs are just going to suck, right? Well guess what, we've got the tracklist and they don't suck. We don't think they do, anyway. Check out the tracklist below for yourselves and see if your conclusion's the same as ours.
  • We Are Scientists - "Callbacks"
  • Stone Sour - "30 30 150"
  • The Exies - "Slow Drain"
  • Megadeth - "Symphony of Destruction"
  • Living End - "Carry Me Home"
  • Methods of Mayhem - "Crash"
  • Wolfmother - "Colossal"
  • Sum 41 - "No Reason"
  • The Used - "Take It Away"
  • Stretch Arm Strong - "The Hardest Part"
  • Strung Out - "Analog"
Cool, eh? We don't have any word yet on which song goes with which rival character, but we'll be sure to give you guys an update when we get our hands on that info.
