IGN Australia managed to catch up with God of War III lead designer Todd Papy and the short interview shed some light on the graphical and technical aspects of Kratos and his knack for killing everything that moves. Since the dev team has a lot of PS3 power to work with, Papy has plenty of room to learn, to polish, and to share knowledge with other developers.

You've seen Kratos fight off that big horned-snake tailed thing (as Glenn describes it) at God of War III's gameplay footage from the E3 2009 yesterday. However, you did not see Kratos tearing out the eye of a cyclops from their Virtual Booth Tour. Oh, yes, that's because Sony did NOT show during their press conference.

Here's a good one - it's a video showing actual footages of Kratos in God of War 3 being played in the E3 exhibit. You'll have to put up with the camera angle quite a bit, but you'll see what you want to see more or less. Full article then.

The next issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine apparently has a God of War 3 feature sandwiched between its God of War 3 covers. Here are some of the details revealed in the mag, including the new grapple system as well as the changes made to the game's items.

What would a GoW game be like without having to mash Square + Square + Triangle for that ever-useful Plume of Prometheus combo, eh? Maybe God of War III will have us just tilt the SIXAXIS one way or another? Whatever the case is, it's no secret that Kratos will grace this year's E3 with his presence. And during that event, we'll get lots of footage and more details - especially about controls. While the footage part is to be expected, what gives me pause here is the bit about motion control...

A survey is just a survey. Unfortunately, this is what Sony said in regards to the survey that recently made its rounds on fans' emails, asking about whether or not they would like to see a collector's edition for God of War III. The survey sent hopes for backwards compatibility skyrocketing to high heavens, only to be dashed right back down to the ground.

Having both God of War and God of War II released on Blu-ray would be hella awesome. The prospect was put on the table by none other than Sony, upon sending a recent survey asking gamers what they'd want in a God of War III Collector's Edition. So, why are they asking this? Could this be their solution to backwards compatibility? Hmm...

Sony has sent out a new survey asking gamers what they want in the God of War III Collector's Edition. The survey mentions the usual stuff - an art book, developer commentary, "making of" featurettes - but what really caught my eye was the possibility of getting the first two God of War games on a Blu-ray disc.

God of War director, Stig Asmussen, is nothing short of welcoming for Electronic Arts' Dante's Inferno (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC). In an interview with CVG, he said that he's hoping that the team responsible for the game makes "a fantastic game that serves as competition".

Concluding the week-long run of God of War III Q&A sessions, we now have the final interview with combat director Adam Poole. Being the last (and definitely not the least), this one's probably the juiciest of all. I mean, dude, we get info from the combat director - how cool of job is that? The Cestus weapon (which is now twice the fun of GoW Chains' Gauntlet of Zeus!), combos, special moves, fire arrows, centaurs, and how they took some inspiration from fighting games.
