Golden Axe: Beast Rider - Image 1According to video game news website PSU, Sega's Danny Chiu has reaffirmed that developer Secret Level has not dropped the PlayStation 3 version of Golden Axe: Beast Rider (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).

In response to the Xbox 360 exclusivity rumors, Chiu stated, "Not true, it's coming to PS3 as well." Rumors of the game becoming exclusive to the Microsoft console surfaced earlier this week.

Golden Axe: Beast Rider is the latest installment in Sega's venerable Golden Axe series. The game will feature the return of Tyris Flare, the female amazon from the first few games in the series, and will be a more mature title thanks to the presence of dismemberments, decapitations, and nudity.

Secret Level and Sega are currently prepping Golden Axe: Beast Rider for a 2008 release.

The latest issue of Play Magazine sports two pages featuring upcoming video game Golden Axe: Beast Rider. If you guys could recall, this video game was announced back in May of 2006 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, however, it is now being reported as Microsoft-exclusive.

Beast Rider is a part of the glorious Golden Axe franchise that began in 1989 and dominated the early and mid 90s. It was a side-scrolling hack 'n slash arcade video game that features the story of three warriors and their vows of revenge against the tyrannical Death Adder.

The latest scans show that eye-candy Tyrus Flare will play a heavy role in the next-gen iteration of the franchise. Furthermore, it was also said that Golden Axe: Beast Rider will target mature audiences as it will feature levels of nudity and heavy violence.

Golden Axe: Beast Rider is being developed Secret Level and will be published by Sega. The two video gaming companies have yet to comment regarding the Xbox 360 exclusivity rumor.

Iron Man - Image 1Every single thing that you will read in this post was taken from online site Rumor Reporter. As its name implies, these are rumors. So before we proceed, we're turning on our big and bright neon sign for such things. Okay? Here goes...

According to the site, Guitar Hero is coming to the Wii. But that's something we already know, right? So if Rumor Reporter is right about this one, albeit late, it COULD be correct as well about other things. Accordingly, Capcom will be coming up with a sequel to Lost Planet called "Lost Planet Wars". It's rumored to be released on the Xbox 360 and the PS3, and it could be a strategy MMO title.

Rumor Reporter also claims that SEGA and acquired studio developer Secret Level will be coming up with exciting projects both for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. An Iron Man game is coming, too. Aside from this, the two will also  be announcing Golden Axe (360, PS3) soon.

And that's about it. We will update you as we get more concrete details about these titles.

Golden Axe

An E3 trailer was shown behind doors for the relatively unknown title Golden Axe which will eventually be released on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Luckily, a mysterious source was able to release these screenshots, and there's a possibility that the full trailer may even surface. The images are a little on the blurry side, but for the most part you can make out what's being pictured. For those of you who haven't heard of it, Golden Axe is an action-RPG loosely based off of the 1989 side-scrolling arcade fighting game. Players will need to recruit allies on their quest to prevent the total annihilation of human civilization.

Golden AxeSega has already announced the coming of the side-scrolling arcade fighting game Golden Axe to the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Secret Level will be developing the new versions for the next-gen consoles.

Golden AxeGolden Axe was released in 1989 and was then a very popular game as it even had several ports for the Mega Drive/Genesis and Sega Master System.

Sega is now bringing back the game as an action-RPG where players will assume the role of Riders embarking on an epic adventure. They will have to recruit allies during their journey to help them in their quest to expose their enemy and to help them prevent total annihilation of human civilization.

Players will charge into battle either on foot or on the back of ferocious beasts as they tackle with their enemies using their wits, combat skills and even magic.

Golden Axe is scheduled for a release next year. Hopefully all three heroes in the original Golden Axe game (Ax Battler, Gilius Thunderhead and Tyris Flare) are also included in this version.
