One of Sony's big announcements at the Tokyo Game Show found its way out to the public before it was actually announced, thanks to Famitsu. According to the mag, Japan's getting two new 80 GB bundles: one with LittleBigPlanet, and another with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III. I should just move to Japan already.

Fire up your PlayStation 3, gamers! An update to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is now available on the PlayStation Network, with three very shiny, very sexy new cars lined up. One of them is the GT by Citroen, whose real-life model debuted at the Paris Motor Show yesterday. Screens after the link!

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is set to kick August off with one mean update. They're adding the anticipated Gran Turismo TV feature this month along with a lot of other fixes that will have gearheads wetting their pants. It's total automotive entertainment from Polyphony Digital this month.

The CEO of Polyphony Digital, as well as the creator and producer of the Gran Turismo series, Kazunori Yamauchi, was at E3 2008 where he let slip a number of details about the future of GT5 Prologue. Gamers certainly like their cars, it seems. Sony is sending word that the Gran Turismo series of games has recently broken 50 million in total sales worldwide.
