Speaking words of wisdom: let it be, let it be. Well, we do hope it will be - because if recent news holds out, we just might get a Beatles release for Rock Band or Guitar Hero (maybe for both games, if Lucy's diamonds shine down on us just right) - just like how Aerosmith got their own version for Guitar Hero. Back in March, ATV Music (in partnership with Sony) already expressed interest in bringing the Fab Four's music to GH. Recent accounts, however, report that a deal may finally be settled in the coming weeks.

A new neck slide guitar for Guitar Hero 4, a new board-based controller for an upcoming Tony Hawk title, and several possible box art designs for Call of Duty 5. Activision's Guitar Hero 4 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) aims to kick the music experience up a notch with the addition of its very own drum set.  While we're still going to have to wait until fall this year to give it a shot, it looks like a few drummers from our favorite bands got a chance to give the game's new controls a try. Guitar Hero World Tour finally gets tagged with a price, as listed on GameStop, with various bundles across the platform versions. The complete band kit includes the game, the guitar peripheral, drums, and microphone.

When Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, The Police's Steward Copeland, and +44's Travis Barker get together on one stage, you know that sparks are going to fly. In a good way, of course. Activision and Neversoft employed the help of Smith and several other notable drummers to break in the new instrument for Guitar Hero World Tour (Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Wii). Activision has finally unveiled Guitar Hero World Tour, the game that we all formerly knew as Guitar Hero 4. With Neversoft currently working on the game, Activision revealed a few more details about the new drum peripheral as well as World Tour's online Battle of the Bands mode. Clamoring for more guitar legends in Guitar Hero? Well, Ted "Motor City Madman" Nugent has just confirmed during a podcast interview that he will be involved in a future installment of the Guitar Hero franchise.
