We know hardly any of you would look this way, now that your pre-order of Snake's final chapter has shipped to your doorstep. But Sony would just like you to know that they've added new things to the US PlayStation Store this week, and some of it's even angled to enhance your Metal Gear Solid 4 experience. There's also a slew of free downloadable content for both the next generation console and the PSP, as well as UMD titles finally hitting the PC store. Read more to get the full list.

Remember our previous report about a debug firmware being loaded on a retail PlayStation 3? Alek, the webmaster for the Dark Alex site, has posted a Q&A discussion regarding this matter. During the course of the discussion, Alek hinted at the possibility of running CFW m33 on the PS3. More on this in the full article.

Remember OpenBOR? Homebrew coder SamuraiX has just ported the Sony PSP application which makes side-scrolling basher games to the PlayStation 3. Installation instructions and other important reminders in the full article.

Word from the folks of the PlayStation 3 underground say that they were able to download a copy of Sony's recent "open beta" build of PlayStation Home, and it appears that some folk have even been able to reproduce the same results. Unfortunately, some of the PS3 hack and exploit contributors were still running PlayStation 3 firmware version 2.10, and only few were willing to brave the less forgiving firmware 2.20 to try it out. It appears that another Hello World attempt has been pulled off on the PlayStation 3, this time by our community's own dragula96.
