Those who enjoy a good laugh with E, Vinnie, Turtle, and Drama on the HBO Original "Entourage" will find that the boys will be joined by a different kind of celebrity tonight. Activision made the announcement, so Alex Mercer and Prototype will be on the show, and those who love either of the two might want to read up on this bit.

Between the bad boys Alex Mercer and Cole MacGrath, who takes the cake? EEDAR weighs in and the results are a mix of official estimates and personal choices. On the official estimates, EEDAR declares Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, or PC) as the winner, with Alex Mercer "expected"  to outsell Cole MacGrath's inFamous by a stellar 90% -- that is thanks in large part to the combined sales of the game's multiplatform releases.

Gotta love the Prototype vids. Let's face it - Alex Mercer is just bad-ass, and being in a bad-ass-looking game definitely scores high on the sick-o-meter. Job well done, Sierra Entertainment. This vid lives up to the standard, and the best part is: this vid has gameplay footages, so it's the closest you can come to enjoying the blood n' brutality if you haven't gotten Prototype for the PS3, Xbox 360, or PC. It's out now so this vid might make a good sales pitch.

Scenario: You just got your shiny new copy of Prototype's PS3 version. You pop it into your PS3 and you get a message saying there's not enough free space on your hard drive for the installation even though you know that it damn well does have enough space. Stop calling your PS3 a liar for a while and try out this workaround from Activision instead.

Can't wait much to get your hands on Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), or at least a demo of it? Unfortunately, we have not-so-great news for all you awaiting fans out there. Activision has sent out an email confirming that there will be no pre-release demo arriving for either the PSN or XBL.

While I still haven't gotten over the bad-ass Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) opening vid from the other day, Alex Mercer is back with a few screenshots, showing yet again how unrelentingly bad-ass he is.

When apocalyptic havoc threatens to extinguish mankind, the action always has to be in  New York City. How many times have we seen this city in the thick of total devastation? I've lost count. The opening cinematic for Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) also sees a completely trashed NYC, but you gotta admit, it looks bad-ass.

Activision has sent 'round an announcement for the different Prototype pre-order goodies that they're offering. GameCrazy, GameStop, and Amazon are each giving away different stuff for those who pre-order the game from them. Details after the jump.

Activision and Radical Entertainment gives us this new trailer for their single-player thriller, Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). When they said "breed something new," they really did, and they got a cannibalistic baby which grew up to be a bad-ass with shapeshifting powers! Naturally, we get a lot of bloody dismembering and non-surgical amputation, which is a big draw for a game if you're into that sort of thing. Check it out.

While lots of people want multiplayer modes for their games, sometimes having only single-player has its benefits. For Prototype's developers, they get to promise you one heck on an experience with Alex Mercer's crazy mutant powers. One of the things to look forward to: getting to slam enemies onto a helicopter's rotors. Bzzzzzzt!
