The Chimera has invaded the PlayStation Home! Like, right now. The Resistance Space in Home is now open, and it brings along with it a recreation of the Chicago Railway Station level from Resistance 2. But it's not all homey-like as you have a challenge to complete.

The Chimera had better pucker up for more punishment because by tomorrow, trigger-happy players of Resistance 2 will have more reasons to bring the fight back to the nasty extraterrestrials. Tomorrow, March 26th, is the day that the new Resistance 2 DLC will be available, along with the 1.50 patch that'll make the online alien-hunting experience much more enjoyable.

While it's not exactly the US$ 99 price cut we heard about earlier today, this is still a pretty sweet deal. Word has come in that Target stores have received a brand new PS3 SKU, with an 80 GB console bundled with MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Looking for a bit of a challenge? The Insomniac Games team, the people behind Resistance 2 themselves, are going to log on to the PlayStation Network this Friday for an hour of multiplayer fun.

Shrug off the weekend snooze, gamers, Insomniac Games will be releasing Patch 1.40 for Resistance 2 today! We're getting new trophy rules, added clan support, and a more balanced matchmaking system. And what's this? A hint at a new PS3 firmware feature?

Comic issue #2 for Resistance 2 is out, and we're sure you'd want to have a look at the continuation of the story on the world's struggle against the Chimera. We're lucky too, cos we have here the preview artworks that'll sure have you guys drooling. Hopefully not on the comic pages itself, lest you ruin the print.

Like a father beaming at his son after a successful soccer match, Sony speaks fondly of its two hit titles, Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet. "Really proud" is how the company describes itself, especially after both titles won ELSPA awards last month.

Co-op gameplay, 60-player competitive game mode, sweet graphics, great sound. No doubt about it, Resistance 2 is right up there with other great shooters. However, existing problems with the game proved too much of a deal-breaker for some people. This bit of news might win them over again: MyResistance.net has gotten an announcement from Insomniac Games that a new patch will be released "very shortly." More info after the jump.
