It's an Alice Cooper offering from Rock Band! Announced via a Rock Band community newsletter, Harmonix gave out a list of what you can get in this six-pack Alice Cooper tracks. But apart from the King of Shock Rock, Taking Back Sunday joins him on stage as well.

If Retribution and Resistance 2 had some form of "Infected mode", could Rock Band have something similar? An ability to share songs between platforms or unlock special content, perhaps? In case some of you guys were hoping for this, Harmonix and MTV Games wants you to know that Rock Band: Unplugged for the PSP will definitely be unplugged. Unplugged from the PS3 version, that is.

Guns N' Roses is surely making up for lost time as Harmonix has announced today that the band's Chinese Democracy album will be landing on the Rock Band Music Store very soon. How soon? Would April 14th be soon enough for you? Good, cos that's the date they gave.

Every week we get loads and loads of new tracks for Rock Band, but next week's batch is kinda special because apart from Journey, Pat Benatar, Glasvegas, and Von Bondies adding tracks for the music game, they will be joined by an icon who's arguably more popular than them - a yellow quadrilateral sea-dweller named SpongeBob Squarepants.

Well if you don't have strong legs to kick out a beat on Guitar Hero's drum pedals, Ben Heckendorn (Ben Hecks) has another mod to make life easier for you. Taking a GH: World Tour drum kit's kick pedal, he modified it into something that allows you to simply blow on a tube to register bass kicks. He did this mod as a request from someone who uses a wheelchair.

If you're not enough of a Pearl Jam fan to buy the re-release of their album "Ten," then maybe this will tip the scales. Best Buy is holding a promo that will allow you to download three Rock Band tracks (from Pearl Jam of course) for free with every purchase of the album.

News broke earlier about how Harmonix wanted to release more than 5,000 songs as DLC for Rock Band by the end of the year. Epic? Yes. Possible? Nuh-uh. Harmonix was contacted to set things straight and guess what? It was a misunderstanding.

Can't find a song worth playing in Rock Band? Harmonix has you covered. According to a Yahoo news report, they're expecting to increase the number of available songs this year to as many as 5,000. Since they only have around 500 right now, I'm rather curious to see how they're going to jump that up tenfold.

Forbes recently accused Rock Band of being a "shameless knockoff" of Guitar Hero, only with added peripherals. Shame on you, Forbes. You know how much the truth hurts. EA responded to the accusation with a very firm no comment statement.
