Ah, some good news for our cousins across the Atlantic! Valkyria Chronicles' release date in Europe has been moved up the calendar. Previously scheduled to come out mid-November, Sega's upcoming tactical RPG will be hitting European retail shelves by October 31! Why, that's two weeks earlier!

The tables are being turned in Sega's new downloadable content for Valkyria Chronicles. Instead of defending the country of Gallia, players will get to play as the invaders and control the Drei Stern's Selvaria Bles in Attack with Selvaria. Details and screenshots after the jump.

Now that Valkyria Chronicles is inching closer to its release date, Sega is now playing the generous card and has released a new gameplay trailer for the game. Not only that, a playable demo is set to come out as well.

The game's already out in Japan so you guys may already have an idea of how it plays out, but those looking for a more hands-on experience will be able to demo Valkyria Chronicles during the pre-release event Sega of America has planned later this week. Details in the full article.

If you're one of the many Sony PlayStation 3 RPG enthusiasts who have been waiting for more word on Sega's Valkyria Chronicles, here's a bit of relief for you. A new video was released by the publishers and it sheds more light on the game's Gallian characters and the BLiTZ battle system they'll be using. Meet Welkin Gunther, one of the many faces you'll be seeing a lot of in the clip after the jump.

Sega's sending word that it is preparing the North American and European release of Senjo no Valkyrie, now dubbed Valkyria Chronicles.

War never looked so pretty: this year's Tokyo Game Show just released a volley of awesome trailers, and this video clip promoting Sega's Senjou no Valkyrie (or Battle Field Valkyrie) for the PlayStation 3 is one of them.

Rendered in muted pastels that one usually finds in picture books, the visuals in Senjou no Valkyrie just evokes the feeling of comfort, further reinforced by the use of cel-shaded graphics.

However, let's not forget that Senjou no Valkyrie is first and foremost a war simulation, and Sega's upcoming PS3 release certainly does not look lacking in that department. For some reason, firearms look good with the female lead, and the two protagonists just appear as if they're born to drive that hand-drawn tank.
