Christmas is getting closer and closer, and we're hearing Christmas songs all over again. Enjoy all the singing and get that silver-bells-and-mistletoes feeling into your PS3 with this Festive Fun SongPack from SingStar. Admit it, those Christmas songs really lift your mood, now even your PS3 will get in on the act.

Well, we may not get price cuts for the PS3 this Christmas but SCE Australia hopes to entice reluctant buyers by offering a free game of their choice with every 80 GB console purchased. The titles include: LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, SingStar Vol 1 Microphone Bundle and SingStar Vol 2 Microphone Bundle.

Sony comes out with SingStar that lets you create your own party play list and gives you the chance to imitate ABBA, Paramore, Rascal Flatts and Queen.

SongPacks for SingStar are about to launch, and marching on the front lines is none other than Queen. SCEE will be releasing two Queen SongPacks tomorrow (October 2) in the SingStore, each one of them includes five tracks from Queen and costs £4.49.

SCEE's PS3 SingStar title has just been given a patch that lets players swap out discs to access tracks found on other PS3 SingStar titles. Good news for gamers in Europe, but it's kind of useless for U.S. gamers at this point since only one SingStar title is out in the U.S. right now. More details after the jump.

Guitar Hero titles aren't the only ones getting huge artists joining their lineup. SCEE's SingStar will also be getting their own pop artists for the gamers to "rock" it out with, and it's no less than European pop sensation ABBA.

Heavy Rain in 2009? According to Gamekyo, that's something Sony will be announcing at their press conference at Leipzig along with the release of new trailers for both Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet. More in the full article.
