TNA: iMPACT (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii) by Midway Games - Los Angeles, WWE's upcoming contender in the video game ring, finally get its debut trailer. We've seen snippets of the game before, but we've got more than half a minute of bone-crunching moves this time.

TNA's roster is made up of familiar faces fans would love. Then again, as we previously found out, the actual wrestlers work hand-in-hand with developers to deliver an authentic wrestling experience. The result is a faithful incarnation of TNA: iMPACT on next-gen consoles, complete with flashy entrances and big names from TNA.

It looks like the WWE has come up with some stiff competition on the video gaming block. Much like in real life, the level of competition between professional wrestling companies just doesn't end with the viewers' ratings. Midway is working on TNA Impact!, another wrestling video game set to come out this spring of 2008 for the Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, and Wii.

Being the pioneer title in their newest series, TNA Impact! is aiming high to deliver a very detailed and accurate simulation of its respective superstars as well as give the fans something to enjoy on their video game consoles.

Who would have imagined that the actual motion captured models we'll be seeing in the game were actually taken from the actual wrestlers themselves. In the video we have you'll get to see some of the biggest names in TNA wearing motion capture devices while they pull off their signature moves that will be translated into the game itself.

Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, Senshi, and Sonjay Dutt are just some of the wrestlers you'll be seeing in this "phenomenal" game according to them. Upcoming title TNA iMPACT: The Video Game offers a viable alternative to the perennial WWE Smackdown vs Raw franchise. Midway Games is planning to release it on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo Wii in May of 2008. For those of you who are curious about this one, we have here the latest development courtesy of online site WrestleZone.

Midway Games will reportedly be conducting a major media launch to coincide with TNA's pay-per-view event titled Bound for Glory this weekend. Superstars Samoa Joe and AJ Styles reportedly spent a lot of time with Midway developers in fine tuning all the details of the game. The confirmed features are as follows:

• The iMPACT  video game will feature 20 TNA performers that are all customizable within the game. Top names on the game include Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Sting, Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett, Rhino, Abyss, and AJ Styles.
• Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Sting, and Jeff Jarrett will be featured on the cover of the game.
• The Six-Sided ring will be included in the game and will feature the TNA specialty matches The Ultimate X, The King of The Mountain, and tag team matches and Fatal Four Ways. Midway is teasing that the game will feature "Online Tournaments".
• A story mode will be included into the game that is said to be similar to WWE video games. Story mode will allow players to create and choose a career path based on decisions that they take during the storyline. Gamers will be able to choose the look of their character as well as their managers who will specialize in different fighting styles.
• Mini games will be included in the game as they will be played to help enhance a character's appearance and abilities as well as unlock hidden features in the game.
• There will also be a Create A Wrestler mode where you will be able to create your very own performer.
  

Until now, nothing much is known about wrestling title TNA Impact (PS3, X360). We only know that it is being developed by Midway Games in its Los Angeles studio. As much as it is about body smashing by sweaty men in the infamous six-sided ring, of course we have to have details. Gameplay, modes, and even the roster of wrestlers.

Speaking of which, we're guessing that the tricky part here is the game's list of characters. We know how WWE bought in competition and TNA is valiantly holding its ground. Of course, it has staples like Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Samoan Joe, the Abyss, and others. But electrifying, more-known wrestlers such as Jeff Hardy and Christian Cage also appeared shortly in TNA. We're not certain about Christian but Jeff Hardy is now back in WWE with brother Matt.

The point is, it looks like big shots come and go in TNA. We wonder when did they sign the contract for making this game. Who will be involved in the game? Will Sting even be there?
