The Orange Box - Image 1When Valve put up a page dedicated to hearing out complaints from The Orange Box fans, they did so to find out what improvements the three games within needed. As it turns out, there were a handful of issues in the Sony PlayStation 3 version that needed to be addressed. Thankfully, a patch has been created and is lined up for testing. Team Fortress 2: no new maps for consoles? - Image 1We've got some news on the Team Fortress front that may just be a blow for gamers on the consoles who're hoping to get more maps. Doug Lombardi, VP of Valve Corporation marketing, has mentioned that plans to bring new maps and content to the console versions of Team Fortress 2 are still up in the air.

Valve Corporation's The Orange Box - Image 1 Electronic Arts boss John Riccitiello announced that the highly successful video game compilation The Orange Box will soon be split into its component parts and will each be sold as separate titles. Some of the more memorable games include Half-Life: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2, with each title garnering its own set of accolades during the past year.

The Orange Box - Image 1 A fan of Valve Software's The Orange Box expressed his disappointment about what he believes as a sub-par PS3 version of the game, posting it in a well-written open letter addressed to Valve Software. A Valve employee replied to the letter, saying that he hopes that they will fix the issues in the future. Is this a confirmation of a future patch or does Valve still believe that the PS3 is "a waste of time?" More details in the full article.

The Orange Box - Image 1The Orange Box is finally getting launched on the Sony PlayStation 3, and an announcement from Electronic Arts reveals that the date of impact will be on December 11. That means that we'll be able to play as either Gordon Freeman, Heavy Weapons Guy or Chell next week - and what could be more awesome than that? Not a lot, we'll have you know. Not a darn lot.

The motley crew of Team Fortress 2 is saying hello to everyone today. They're ready to wreak havoc on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC once the game gets released next week (October 10 on Steam, October 12 as part of The Orange Box bundle on retail shelves). Just in case you haven't heard and want to get a bit of a teaser taste of Team Fortress 2, a Beta version of the game is currently available on Steam.

Straight from publisher Electronic Arts, this batch of screens show the various characters of Team Fortress 2 in action. We've got the ever-so-memorable heavy weapons guy, the soldier, the spy, the scout... Everyone's here. They're all bringing their own area of expertise into the battlefield and these screens are more than enough to prove it.
