At the New York Comic-Con last year, Top Cow Productions teased gamers
with the possibility that the follow-up to their shooter, The Darkness (PS3 and Xbox 360),
is in the works. But we didn't hear anything from them regarding this
for a while (15 long months to be exact), until this year's Comic-Con,
that is. |

In the latest issue of the UK Official PlayStation Magazine (the same one that gave Metal Gear Solid 4 a solid 10 rating), they dished out some rumors that, if true, hint at good times ahead. They have rumors of an Assassin's Creed movie in the works, a Cloverfield game, and even the setting for the Uncharted sequel. Check them all out and more in the full article. |

Enjoyed 2K Games and Starbreeze Studios' The Darkness (for the PS3 and Xbox 360)? Word is out that Starbreeze is hard at work for Jackie Estacado's second video game adventure, but 2K Games is squashing this as mere rumor. More details in the full article. |

We're sure this is one video game you don't want to miss: It's The Darkness from 2K Games and Starbreeze Studios. In case you haven't purchased The Darkness (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) yet or you live in Europe, here's another treat for you. We found a video of The Darkness powers players will be able to wield in the game. We're warning you though, the video might contain spoilers. In the video, we see more heart-munching action, plus some creeping dark action with the Maw Tentacles. We also see how to wreak havoc with the Dark Tentacles-slash-Demon Arm which allow Jackie to throw cars around - yep, cars. The video also shows the Darkness guns that Jackie uses (maybe they can rival Dante's Ebony and Ivory guns). Anyway, we won't spoil the entire video for you. So, just click on Full Article to watch the video. Enjoy! |

After a timely release on North American shores, Take-Two Interactive's The Darkness has shipped to the UK, as promised, but will be available for the Xbox 360 first. The PlayStation 3 version is set for release on July 20, goes the official announcement, and should feature more video content for in-game television. "The Darkness takes the first-person action video game to new depths on both a visual and a gameplay level and brings the graphic novel to grisly new life," said 2K president Christoph Hartmann. "The Darkness" comics was authored by Paul Jenkins and published by Top Cow Productions, known for their novelty published title "Witchblade." Marc Silvestri, founder of Top Cow Productions, said, "Since [Top Cow, 2K, and Starbreeze Studios] have all worked very closely on this project, fans of the comic book will be pleased with how accurately and effectively it comes to life as an incredibly visceral and enjoyable video game." The game is still rated M for Mature, although no announcement of BBFC's own rating for the game has been made. Suggested retail price was also a no-show in the follow up announcement. |

Even after the minor mishaps that Take-Two Interactive had with D3 Publisher's Dark Sector trailers, the company has still pushed forward with the release of Starbreeze Studios' rated M for Mature title, The Darkness, across North America. The first-person shooter action title is now available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the U.S. Based off the grim storyline of the comic of the same name, The Darkness will take players through the dark corners of New York and the realm of Darkness in the shoes of Jackie Estacado. And after gaining an ancient power on his 21st birthday, players will aid Estacado in his quest to wreak vengeance on his own crime family. The game also features:

Yeah, we've already posted a vid about this subject before, but the multiplayer mode in The Darkness (PS3, Xbox 360) is just too dang beautiful so we're posting another one. Check it out below.
Mowing down enemies that transform into gibbering, shrieking demons gunning for you at full speed? And in a multiplayer game, at that? Sounds awesome. Starbreeze Studios and 2K Games' The Darkness is slated to come out in the U.S. today. The PS3 version of the game, however, will be available in Europe on July 20. |

Fans are already counting down the number of hours left until Starbreeze Studios and 2K Games unleash The Darkness out on the streets, but unfortunately, it looks like European gamers are in for a longer wait than previously expected.According to PS3 Fanboy, various big-name video game retailers have changed the listed release date for the PS3 version of The Darkness from June 29 to July 20. GAME.co.uk was the first to change the release date, doing so about a week ago. Amazon.co.uk and Play.com eventually followed suit. No official word from the publisher and the developer regarding this issue has been released yet. Of course, fans should note that the PS3 is region free, and the game's US release date is still slated for June 25. If you have a friend in the US and you're really dying to play this game, try to see if he or she can score a copy for you. The European release date of the Xbox 360 version of the game remains unchanged. |
