With Square Enix choosing not to talk too much about the promised PS3 version of The Last Remnant, it's already become a bit of a longshot, and now Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada has cast further doubts that it will ever see the light of day.

I hope nobody here's planning on holding their breath until The Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360) finally hits the Sony PlayStation 3, because if this report's any indication, we may not be seeing that game for a long time. If at all.

Square Enix developer Hiroshi Takai once again makes headlines with a casual comment made on the Xbox 360. Fresh off working on The Last Remnant, Takai comments that the Xbox 360 has been "a lot easier to work with than the PlayStation 3."

Seems the exclusivity war really is over.

In a move that supports their previous statement of "we don't have a favourite console", the Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360) team, through its dialogue editor Yuji Isogawa, has said that they are looking into the possibility of adding the Japanese dialogue into the PS3 version. Final say would have to be up to Square Enix, though.

Square Enix's The Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360) director, Hiroshi Takai, was interviewed recently about his experience working on the Xbox 360 platform. Being Square Enix's first venture into Unreal Engine 3 realms, The Last Remnant is surely one to make a lasting mark in their portfolio. The trailer is packed with absolutely everything you can find in an RPG - including Ryu's dragon punch! ..err, wait... what?

Famitsu's issued a correction in its post regarding The Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360) PS3 release date. It's not November 20 as was originally stated. Where'd the 11/20 date come from then, and when is the real launch for the PS3 version? Unfold the mystery after the jump.

Here are some screenshots for the PlayStation 3 version of upcoming RPG The Last Remnant. The game is expected to become available in major markets during Spring 2008. It is being developed and will be published by Square Enix and is also expected to come out on Xbox 360.
