Level-5's RPG, White Knight Story/Chronicles, is making a lot of noise in the gaming world, and it doesn't show signs of slowing down. Today we picked up on information that only adds to the excitement over this title: 1080p support. Read about it after the jump.

It's gonna be a special white Christmas for fans awaiting White Knight Story/Chronicles. That's because the official release date has finally been announced in Famitsu Magazine, and there's also a couple of scans for eye candy.

It's about to rain on your parade, guys. Sorry but it turns out White Knight Story/Chronicles has not been dated for a December Japanese release after all. Truth is, it's still in the TBA section.

It's been a while since we really heard anything substantial about Shirokishi Monogatari, otherwise known as White Knight Story/Chronicles. To that end, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that Famitsu uncovered the release date for this RPG. Find out exactly when it's coming out after the jump!

It's been ages since we last heard anything about White Knight Story (Shirokishi Monogatari), Level 5's ambitious PS3 exclusive RPG. We might get to hear a lot more about the game soon, though, if an update on the Level 5 website is any indication. More in the full article.

Jeux France has posted five new scans for Level-5's Shirokishi Monogatari, or White Knight Story, featuring some pretty sweet screenshots of the game.

The five scans seem to indicate something RPG players will definitely like: players can alter the look of the party beyond their clothing, much like an RPG like Neverwinter Nights might allow for facial customization.

We all know the Japanese love 'em mechs in their RPGs, and Level 5's White Knight Story for the Sony PlayStation 3 is undeniable proof. Here's a new scan from Famitsu loaded with new shots from the game and other details peppered all over. Since we've been indulging ourselves into everything new about this supersized upcoming title, not much else can be said aside from any self respecting fan of Level 5 and their RPGs should check out the goodies at the full article.

The official website of the White Knight Story has been updated with new content. The guys from Level 5 must have been really busy since they added new concept art, a glimpse at some of the characters in the game, and lots of new information regarding the gameplay.

The concept art is pretty good and shows off some of the different locals players can visit in the game. The character page now features some of the bad guys in the game complete with the typical white-haired leader and a flame wielding dark knight which might be his right hand man (woman?). Finally, The system tab adds four new different sections which discuss character creation details, the battle/combo system, and the White Knight transformation ability.

Fans of the game who want to see the updates for themselves can click on our Read Link for more information. If you plan on picking up White Knight Story, it is expected to be released on December 31 in Japan while U.S. and Europe based gamers will be getting it some time next year.

A lot of RPG fans have been fairly pumped up with development team Level-5's upcoming RPG White Knight Story which will launch exclusively for the Sony PlayStation 3. We've seen trailers and images of young protagonists transforming into colossal armored warriors and waging war against equally gargantuan foes.

These scans reveal additional characters who will join hero Lezard in his journey. They're yet to be named, but one seems to be a magician, the other is a dancer, and the last is Level-5's mascot frog who appears twice his normal size.

The concept art for a new type of Knight has also been revealed. It's called a Dragon Knight and we must say, the wings give it am edge in style points over the White and Black Knights that we've seen before.

Player creation has also been shown and it's pretty cool to see a female character being designed for the game. Not a whole lot was revealed about the storyline and the battle system, but it was mentioned that the protagonists of White Knight Story have special "contracts" with the Knights which give them battle gear for protection. The heroes can transform into Knight form using what looks like arm armor pieces, with Lezard's piece being pretty unique because he has to slide a sword in it to transform into a White Knight.

Here are some massive Famitsu scans of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Level 5's upcoming epic, White Knight Story, featuring character artwork and big chunks of details. With these at hand, it's almost safe to say that the Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive is going to be a hefty one.

No need to worry if you can't read Japanese, because if you're a fan of role-playing games or mechs (or both), you'll probably love the images the same as we did. Among the good stuff to drool over is the giant red robot equipped with a trident. There's also one that seems to have a small blade, and another in black polish with a long sword.

The White Knight Story characters look a lot different from previous RPGs developed by Level 5, a huge step away from the cutesy Dark Cloud 2 or Dragon Quest VIII, but the style matches the game's medieval-esque setting perfectly.
