You the artsy type? Then you'll love this next developer diary for the WipEout HD expansion, WipEout HD Fury. Rita Linsley of the development team takes us through the inspiration behind Sony's futuristic racer, with a few images to paint the picture clearer.

If you've played WipEout HD before, you may have comes across the "Beat Zico" Trophy. The programmer that Trophy is named after, Zico Liu, has spilled a few more details regarding the upcoming Fury expansion pack including the price and release date.

What do we have here? It seems that the most adrenaline-pumping PSN game from Sony Liverpool will be getting a new set of trophies when the game arrives sometime this year. The folks at TheSixthAxis got the early list of trophies, which appear to be bronze, for the upcoming WipEout HD Fury expansion pack.

WipEout HD art director Marcus Tanner has been doing a stand up job working on the expansion, WipEout HD Fury, so it'd be a shame if we didn't know about what he's done for the game. That little problem is remedied by yet another developer diary, as Tanner takes us through the work that he and his crew put together for WipEout HD Fury.

This summer, WipEout HD fans will be getting a new expansion pack called Fury. The pack will add 8 new tracks, 13 new ship models, 3 new game modes, and more. To whip up some good ol' fan frenzy, Sony's Liverpool Studio has released some gorgeous new screenshots from the Fury pack. Check 'em out in the full article.

Hey, WipEout HD fans, here's something to look forward to: a free WipEout HD update will be available for download tomorrow and it'll include a bunch of new multiplayer features. The version 1.30 update will include new online rankings, online badges, a spectator mode and game invites.

Okay, so WipEout HD gets its 1.26 update. If you try booting the game up, you'll be prompted to the usual update. So what does it do? Bugfixes? New features? Actually, no one really knows yet.

SCEE's circulated a press wire confirming the upcoming arrival of  WipEout HD's demo on the PlayStation Store this Christmas Eve. More information in the full article, please.

As of today, our lucky cousins across the Atlantic get to download an update for WipEout HD. Patch v1.1 will solve some of the bugs that some people have been reporting... but... (yeah, there's always a big butt but, isn't there?) there's a drawback.

You'd think that being such a fast-moving game, WipEout HD would have a problem rendering at 1080p at 60 frames per second, but it seems the PlayStation 3's hardware can take it. A gaming blog discovered that the PS3 allows the game to alter resolutions on a frame-by-frame basis, a feat the Xbox 360 can't achieve. More details after the link.
