hd - Image 1What do we have here? It seems that the most adrenaline-pumping PSN game from Sony Liverpool will be getting a new set of trophies when the game arrives sometime this year. The folks at TheSixthAxis got the early list of trophies, which appear to be bronze, for the upcoming WipEout HD Fury expansion pack.

WipEout HD - Image 1This summer, WipEout HD fans will be getting a new expansion pack called Fury. The pack will add 8 new tracks, 13 new ship models, 3 new game modes, and more. The version 1.30 update will include new online rankings, online badges, a spectator mode and game invites.

WipEout HD - Image 1Okay, so WipEout HD gets its 1.26 update. If you try booting the game up, you'll be prompted to the usual update. So what does it do? Bugfixes? New features? Actually, no one really knows yet.

WipEout HD - Image 1As of today, our lucky cousins across the Atlantic get to download an update for WipEout HD. Patch v1.1 will solve some of the bugs that some people have been reporting... but... (yeah, there's always a big butt but, isn't there?) there's a drawback.

WipEoutHD sports dynamic framebuffers - Image 1You'd think that being such a fast-moving game, WipEout HD would have a problem rendering at 1080p at 60 frames per second, but it seems the PlayStation 3's hardware can take it. A gaming blog discovered that the PS3 allows the game to alter resolutions on a frame-by-frame basis, a feat the Xbox 360 can't achieve. More details after the link.
