Considering the push Sony leveraged behind inFamous, it's no surprise if they want to make it into another big PlayStation franchise. Sucker Punch hasn't announced any new adventures for Cole McGrath yet, but it seems like the gears are already turning on inFamous 2.

Word of Sony Pictures working on a movie based on the PS3-exclusive inFamous has been floating around since July, but there haven't been many updates on the matter, so you'd wonder if they're really working on it. What makes this even a bigger wonder is that if the info posted at the IMDb has it right, then the inFamous movie would be launching 2010, which may not be enough time to make a decent movie. Granted that they're trying to make it decent, that is.

Kratos and Nate Drake won't be the only ones getting some Hollywood screen time. Bike messenger turned superhero Cole McGrath is getting in on the action too.

Between the bad boys Alex Mercer and Cole MacGrath, who takes the cake? EEDAR weighs in and the results are a mix of official estimates and personal choices. On the official estimates, EEDAR declares Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, or PC) as the winner, with Alex Mercer "expected"  to outsell Cole MacGrath's inFamous by a stellar 90% -- that is thanks in large part to the combined sales of the game's multiplatform releases.

Sony has recently revealed some random fun facts about inFamous, the super-hero exclusive game of Sucker Punch for the PS3. Included in the post, it was revealed that the game will be having it's own space in Playstation Home very soon.

Sucker Punch's inFamous seems to have no other recourse but to prove that it is indeed famous. Especially when Sony itself professes such high hopes for this latest addition to the growing collection of must-have PS3 titles.

Sorry to disappoint you guys. Remember that Sly Cooper 4 reference found in the demo of the newly-released inFamous some two weeks ago? Yeah, that sure got hyped up a lot. Unfortunately for you lot, that was just an inside joke, according to Sucker Punch.

In an interview with Belgian gaming site 9lives, Sucker Punch co-founder Bruce Oberg admitted that they ran into a few difficulties while trying to release inFamous on schedule. While they've certainly cleared these obstacles, they never did get past two "mountains": multiplayer and DLC.

With the PS3-exclusive from Sucker Punch Productions, inFamous, hitting shelves this week, Amazon UK has a little something for those who want the game plus a new PS3. Available for pre-order now is an 80 GB PlayStation 3 bundled and the soon-to-be released inFamous, with which buyers can give their new PS3 a go with. Details after the jump.
