I don't know about you, but usually, Squaresoft always pushes the boundaries of the consoles.
and even if it doesn't look that good in the end, I doubt people will criticise it for it.
after all, the game looks fresh. New approach of gameplay is making me want it more and more:P

It looks like they let free with ripping off of the matrix.
Hopefully Square will get right of Nomura too, see-ing as the main character just looks like Cloud with pink hair... he really has no innovation or art skills :/

Square has always released what they show. All screenshots they show have always been what the game is on release.
Show me in Square history where a game was previewed and the quality of the final game wasnt the same?
People are just mad that PS3 games are looking better then any other system out there.

Well in my opinion this game is going to rock seeing as yes SE always pushes the limits of consoles to a very high point. Also SE has also said that the graphics of gameplay will be very close to teh cinematic gameplay, and to all the people denying the pictures and video! No one said that was gameplay we only saying it looks good and because the new form of gameplay sounds interesting and more fun to play than regular ones these days!
I think FF 13 might be the game that is most sold after launch of PS3, but that is in my opinion!

Yea I agree most people who are not planning on buying or can not afford a PS3 are either bashing the PS3 itself or its games! Seriously I probably will not be able to buy a PS3 at launch but that does not mean I will not buy it.
I will have to save a bit more but I will still buy it! Also just because I do not like the Xbox 360 or the Nintendo Wii, does not make me go ahead and bash them up bad. I just do not say anything cause I know what I know.
But sadly a lot of other people keep bashing at the other console making their favoured console look worse!
Oh and a comment to this site, I have noticed you are losing many fans. word to the wise stop bashing the PS3 console which you are supposed to upheld as the best concole!!!

Any big game company knows that games should never be played until released or just about in its final form. FFXII was never playable at E3 until it was out. In fact every Square game was never played at E3 until it was released. They always showed videos of what they had accomplished.

Until you have proof that what they're showing you is really what they be selling to you for $60 later, its vapourware.
Going on good faith and trusting a company is stupid, they're only there to grab your cash and you should realize that.
Believing that companies marketing(in any form) is not at every possible point trying to sell their product to you is naive.

I completely agree that SE hasn't had a track record of lying about their graphics atall. And you have to admit that ffX and beyond have some damn nice graphics for being current gen.
I just wonder where the gameplay starts and the cut scenes begin in video and the screen shots. Considering the action going on, it's not very clear since it doesn't seem to be a straightforward play system if it runs like that. And you have to realise that there's a pretty big difference between the graphics in cutscenes in ff titles and the actual game play. They say that it'll be really close but no one knows what that means yet. Although considering the graphical quality of X and XII I'm expecting that these graphics aren't so unbelievable considering the huge jump between ps2 and ps3.

Just to clarify, most gaming magazines and sites I've seen define vaporware as a game or even hardware that has been hyped alot but in the end never actually goes into production to be sold. Like the majority of Call of Cthulu games were talked about for so long but never actually made it past early development.
